Hi all
Here are my five for the day:
1 - Appointment with the dental hygienist, no fear and no pain, now I am used to go and the lovely lady is very gentle. She is very happy with my gums (yippee!) so no need for an appointment until September.
2 - PO Box for work, some kind person has donated a £20 cheque, it is lovely when it happens!
3 - Walking across Blackheat in the mild sunshine I noticed buds on the trees and the first daffs appearing in gardens, spring is approaching!
4 - Piece of panettone after lunch (ok, I broke my Lent vow, means shall have to do some act of kindness for penance - might iron DHs shirts!).
5 - The raised beds are full of freshly delivered (yesterday) compost and I am planning to do some shovelling after I have done my daily "job" work.
Have a great time all! xFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
1. making HM carrot, red pepper and lentil soup.
2. making HM stock from chicken thigh leftovers (bones and some meat).
3. making HM tray bake from local Kirk cookery book (mmm crushed digestive biscuits, syrup, white choc, raisins, glace cherries).
4. eating lots of veg to help me recover from tonsilitis
5. reading a good book before bed, by a local author, and making me realise how beautiful the place I live is!
6. Seeing all the daffodil and snowdrop buds in the garden starting to come to life!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

I’ve been away for a while, and no hope of catching up with all the posts, sorry! I’ve missed reading this thread, it cheers me up so much even if I don’t post. Hope everyone is well and looking forward to spring!
Here are my blessings for the past few days -
It’s a lovely sunshiny day today
Seeing lambs in the fields and daffodils and crocuses everywhere!

Really beginning to see progress in my decluttering now
Spent a lot of time recently thinking about my priorities and today I’ve knocked quite a few things off my ‘to-do’ list and onto my ‘maybe sometime’ list - I can feel the weight lifted from my shoulders.
Decided on the goals I want to work towards, including finishing my degree
Have a great evening everyone... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Hi all I've missed posting for a couple of days as I'm fighting the kids for the computer in the evenings :rotfl: My 5 for today
1. Washing dried outside - I'd never pegged out on sunny winter days until I found this board, it never ceases to amaze me that it dries beautifully
2. My DH grabbing me for a cuddle this morning while I was getting the childrens breakfasts & telling me that he still lusts after me
3. A lovely sunny day.
4. DS2 telling me a very funny joke - too rude for publication
5. The smell of chilli in the slow cooker that's wafted round the kitchen all day. Only downside is its made me starving
Blessings to everyone else I hope you all have good evenings :A0 -
How lovely to read all your messages. They really are uplifting.
Here are some from me:
1. Glad to be able to be on the end of the phone and listen to DS who is having a difficult time. Also glad that he rang me.
2. Enjoyed seeing the sun out today.
3. Thinking about buying some plants to brighten up the garden. Just thinking about them coming into bloom made me feel good.
4. Washed older dog's bedding and got it out in the sunshine.
5. DH will be on his way home from work and I look forward to giving him a big hug
I hope everyone has a good evening0 -
Evening all! Coming to the end of a lovely sunny day here, which brings me neatly to my blessings!
1. Making the most of the lovely sunshine by walking over the hills to the nearest town (sort of) instead of getting the bus.
2. Looking in a rather expensive jewellery shop window trying to find a present for my mum and realising that I can make something just as pretty, will finish that project tomorrow!
3. YS organic lemons to make curd for mum (well for her cake)
4. Finding some knitting needles in the exact size I needed for 40p in the craft shop- they recycled unwanted needles from customers.
5. Whilst pootling in the charity shop overhearing the lady who works there being so supportive and caring to an old lady who is going through a rough time that it brought a lump to my throat, I feel so lucky to live in a place with a strong sense of community.
Hugs and blessings to all!Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!'0 -
Evening all!
1. Making nut & cheese pate for lunch, and eating it with 10p bread.
2. Store cupboard dinner of mash, cabbage, gravy and veg pasty.
3. Good old fashioned lie in this morning, complete with some lovely snuggles.
4. Walking to the bank and enjoying the fresh air, chatting to OH and getting some exercise.
5. Using money from my change 'treat jar' to buy some tulips for my mantlepiece...I don't count money from there, so had a no spend day today, yippee!0
