4. My car running really smoothly after it had been given some much needed attention - remembered how it can be nice to drive.
5. Rearranging the kitchen worktops and creating more worktop space for baking etc by taking the huge old George Formby to the recycling centre and moving the other bits aroundAlso moving the knife block and chopping boards to where I usually prepare food, instead of being on the opposite side of the room.
6. Planning what can be moved/recycled next
7. Having paid off 1/3 of my debt as from this month.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Hello all
We have found Sparrer and seem to have mislaid ampersand!!!0 -
Hi all
Olliebeak, hope you get well soon, I know how annoying cough is, it is really tiring after a while.
Here are my five for the day:
1 - Started pattern cutting course, although much more expensive than an adult educ. class it is a one-to-one teaching and I am learning so much more, so it is much more cost effective!
2 - Soup lunch at the local church (and stayed for Lent group which also was very interesting).
3 - Local library lent me the electricity monitoring gadget, going to check how much we are consuming so I can try and save more energy.
4 - The leftovers from last night dinner (with a friend from the OS forum and her DH - hi, you know who you are, it was great to have you around, let's do it again soon!) are going to be stretched with some potatoes, carrots, more rice into a nice all-in soup for tonight family dinner.
5 - Invite in the post from the Independent (which we subscribe to because of the £100 M&S vouchers offer) to join them at the Tate Modern and will be able to see one of their exhibitions for free with this invite.
Off to do some work now, have a great day all! xxxFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -

Hello all - been awol in job hunting hell!
Mine for today (and yesterday, scraping the upbeat barrel at the moment!)
1. Excellent choir rehearsal last night, such a friendly and welcoming bunch and I feel like my singing is really improving working with them.
2. Beautiful sunshine this morning - despite the snow which followed this afternoon.
3. Being told at my interview/presentation today that I was excellent and did myself proud (a direct quote from the panel there folks, not wishing to blow my old trumpet but frankly my self esteem could do with a boost at the moment!)
4. OH coming home with 1/2 price salmon and nice wine - OS and considerate, he is such a treasure and right at the top of my blessings list.
5. We're off to Cornwall for our wedding anniversary in April via the sleeper train, a most bargainous and eco friendly trip.
6. Getting the Lonely Planet guide to devon and cornwall from the library and planning our trip. Especially good as we couldn't find it in the book shop.
7. Getting another exciting veg box - it is exciting as my Christmas stocking to me!
Large squishy hugs to all!Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!'0 -
