Oh dear, you wonderful, lovely friends have made me cry :o with all your amazing care and concern. Thank you so very much, here are big dodgy hugs for everybody...:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

I stupidly let the chest infection get out of hand and did little about it  , ending up in hosp last Tuesday am with pneumonia...some 4th birthday that was! (Thank you everybody for those good wishes too :D )

I came home this evening, desperate for my MSE fix and can't believe the lovely messages. Thank you dearly all my friends, it means so much to know posting doesn't make one just a voice in a crowd. I will get back to normal - whatever that is - but for now here are just a couple for today..

    Monday blessings...

    1. Being here among friends. There couldn't be a more right place to be :A (yes I know ampersand dear, that's dreadful grammar :rotfl: )

    2. Bedford hospital - old and straggly but what an amazing place, incredible care (and jolly good food!)..my next and very pleasurable job after this is to write them a letter of thanks.

oh, one more - 3. Seeing all the new peeps join in, welcome everybody to

    My pleasures today:-

    1. Half an hour spent on more tidying in the garden.

    2. Hm soup and hm roll for lunch.

    3. Chicken pie (hm) for a family meal tonight.

    4. Pudding for 2 adults and two children was 2 trifle sponges, half a tin of oranges and half a jelly (all leftovers) made into mini trifles and topped with ice cream leftover from Christmas and sprinkled with chocolate flakes. Looked impressive (presentation is everything) but was really just the sweepings up;) .

    5. Hugs from DGS and DGD - make everything worthwhile.

Good evening everyone I hope you are all ok? (((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one or just want one. I've been ill over the weekend with a sicky bug so haven't posted but I did try to think about my blessings so this thread is definitely rubbing off on me :A My five for today are:
    1. A bright sunny morning with birds singing when I woke up.
    2. A neighbour, who I only know in passing, popped round with an insurance form as my DH witnessed an accident she was in last year. I invited her in for a coffee & we chatted for an hour or so it was lovely.
    3. My best friend is coming for lunch tomorrow then we are going to the library & any other errands that come along - we always laugh together about children, DH's, dogs & our respective families ;)
    4. I was reminded how friendly this board is when I noticed a new poster on another thread - there were lots of welcomes from lots of people - it's truly the friendliest forum on the internet :T
    5. My Mum had an injection in her left hip this afternoon at the doctors for pain in it. It'll be lovely when she can walk around without wincing :A
I hope that you all have a good nights sleep & that tomorrow brings blessings again for us all.

hi-hand.gif - welcome back, sparrer - good to see you again. Just take it easy for a while and let yourself recover properly smiley-hug008.gif.

    1. Still struggling with my 'icky throat' but getting loads of sympathy from my lovely tenants in work. Lots of advice about hot lemon and honey (which I'm already doing!) but you just let them think that they're telling you something new ;) - they feel really helpful and that's more important.

    2. Visit from DS1 this morning for his usual chat. He brought me a big pack of 'budgie bars' (our nickname for sesame seed bars) so will last me absolutely ages :D.

    3. Enjoying reading everybody's blessings - especially all the new posters. Great to see this thread really growing and that, despite all the financial doom and gloom, people can STILL find blessings to be grateful for.

    4. Phone call from darling sister1. We've been invited to niece's 18th birthday party on Friday. She's coming form 'the other side of the water' (River Mersey) and said she'll collect me on the way to the party so I don't have to get the bus :T.

    5. OH did the dishes this evening - without being asked!

I'm now heading off to bed for an early night - another hot toddy and throat lozenge while I read for a short while.

Nitey nite all - take care - love Ollie xxx
