Morning all. I didn't manage to post at the w'end due to evil laptop being evil!
So here are 10ish OS pleasures for the weekend!
    1. Meeting someone from the local arts festival about getting involved - i'm very excited!
    2. OH getting 2-4-1 tickets to see Ian Macmillan at another local lit festival.
    3. Walking up into the hills with a pasty and a flask of tea and taking in how beautiful the valley is.
    4. Making HM pasta for the first time and OH saying it was the best pasta he ever tasted.
    5. A cheeky pint of local ale in front of the fire at our local - not very MS but we needed to warm up as it was freezing on the tops on saturday!
    6. Taking the OS map and exploring on our way to the farm shop on Sunday, it was cloudy when we set our but turned so lovely we just kept walking. I was very proud of my rapidly improving map reading skills!
    7. Having my camera with me on Sunday, sheer coincidence but it meant I could take an extremely comedy picture of 5 cows mucnhing on a bale of hay looking like they were all having a good gossip.
    8. Finding a HM swing in a tree in the woods, OH and I had a great time playing on it!!
    9. Stocking up on lots of good value, happy, local meat at the farmshop and knowing we are set for the next month.
    10. Getting through the backlog of ironing and enjoying the smell of fresh clean clothes as I put them away.

Hope you all had a blessed weekend.
    Hugs
    Karrie

Just a quick posting for yesterday and today:
    1. Visiting a local acquaintance and seeing her newly acquired young chickens and feeling a little envious as I watched them wandering around the garden enjoying themselves. Foolishly researching chicken arks on the internet in the hope that we could accommodate some but realising our garden is just big enough for a vegetable patch or a small chicken run, but sadly can't accommodate both.
    2. Home made soup for lunch - another portion of stock removed from the freezer!
    3. Checking out our tiny pond today and finding the first batch of frogspawn. Yippee. We will have tadpoles again this year after a visiting wild duck arrived last year and ate them all. No matter how old I become, this annual ritual still excites me.

    Hi all

I was meeting the Brizzle OSers during the weekend (see Bristol meet thread) so I did not post, so here are my pleasures over the weekend:

1 - Meeting all the great OSers

2 - Lunch with OSers in Wetherspoons

3 - Walk around St Nicholas Market with OSers

4 - Walk around canals with OSers

5 - Fran's exquisite hospitality, I stayed at hers overnight and it was great to catch up with her!

6 - Sunday morning buying the Observer and finding a great moneysaving mag inside (even with an interview from Martin and a voucher for free strawberries!).

6 - Lunch at an Italian stall (broccoli lasagne - delicious) and speaking Italian with this lovely lady.

7 - Lovely Italian lady (see no. 6) selling me two jars of Italian honey at a discount (I did not ask, she offered!).

8 - Boat trip around canals, showing my student card I got it at reduced price.

9 - Sunshine all Sunday, walking around in glorious weather.

10 - Finding artisan bread loaves reduced 2 for 1 and buying 2 Campagne and 2 Spelt to take back to the family.

    Today:

1 - Sunshine again! Loving the weather!

2 - Breakfast with friend, cutting into one of the spelt loaves I got yesterday and spreading the Italian honey on it - yummy!

3 - Picking up an interview for a local job and talking with the manager of the centre, who seems very pleasant.

4 - Looking at the wonderful work DH and DD's boyfriend did on the front garden, now we are ready to order topsoil and start planting veg.

5 - Anticipated pleasure: knitting class tonight.

Have a great day, all! xxx

I am looking forward to seeing Sparrer again too, hope you are well!
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    Hello all
    Im worried about Sparrer too
hi-hand.gifto you Sparrer - Hope all is well x

    My pleasures for the weekend are;
    1) Recieving cheques in the post in exchange for my old mobile phones. :j
    2) Taking my 2 y/o ds out (without his buggy) on my own shopping & taking the bus & him being very well behaved for once - It was surprisingly a stress free few hours. No buggy & no car means that I buy less shopping so quids in ;)
    3) Buying a reduced pirate hat from Mr T which was well worth the 75p spend as it kept my ds amused during & beyond our shopping trip! :silenced:
    4) Putting my Boots Advantage card in the machine & having points added that I had forgotten about so have enough to buy make-up when I need it.
    5) Enjoying the milder weather that we are having at the moment & taking advantage & getting 2 loads of washing dry.
    6) Buying a loaf of bread for 10p & a pack of bread rolls for 5p with bb dates for 2 days time so dh's & dfil's packed lunches sorted.
    7) My ds noticing the purple crocus appearing in our garden and saying it was lovely - just goes to show that even at his tender age he appreciates the beauty of nature.

    6) Best friend telling me its always a "cullinary treat" being at my house, and how she has yummy memories
