Hope things are much better for Reverbe, and Caterina isn't in quite so much pain. ((((Hugs)))) for everyone who needs them - in fact hugs for everyone, just cos I feel like it

    Monday blessings...

    1. I hate snow, bah humbug ;) ! But I did enjoy taking some photos and sending them to a friend in NZ, where she said the weather has been unbearably hot this past few days. Would swap with her any day! Isn't it funny how we always want what the other person has got?

    2. Broke up half a hm loaf and put it out for the birds. Not very MS but at least it wasn't expensive shop bought stuff :D

    3. Cleaned the kitchen floor tiles with Stardrops and a sponge scourer. It's mopped every night as I have cats and a dog but when I stopped halfway for a cuppa I couldn't believe the difference...a definite before and after example. I'm sure I worked off the hot cross bun calories I ate after lunch too, which was a bonus :o

    4. I've been working at getting used to the new laptop, it's very strange after the pc. I spend an hour or so every day finding my way around it and transferring bits and pieces, so I'll soon be able to sell the pc, desk and chair to make more room in the small bedroom.

    5. Cancelled a meeting I was due to attend this evening, spent the time on clicky sites instead so saved petrol and earned some pennies ..another bonus. Then I had another cuppa, and another hot cross bun....:rotfl:
  • 1) Made a pair of fingerless gloves from a pair of old socks. I can't buy any new ones (due to my year challenge of not buying any brand new fashion items), so this was my only option.
    2) Made stock with the slow cooker for the first time.
    3) Did the flylady tasks for once!
    4) Managed to get a cash box for free due to envirophone voucher (needed to put things into the bank safe.
    5) Organic pheasant dinner!

Reverbe - it's good to see you are feeling more cheerful today.
Caterina - hope you are not having too bad a day.

    My pleasures today,

    1. Not needing to go out in the snow safe in the knowledge that my freezer & pantry are both fully stocked.

    2. A nice long chat to my friend (her call) who lives many miles away.

    3. Knitting while I was on the telephone so no time wasted there.

    4. A good stint with the sewing machine this afternoon.

    5. Turkey thigh for tea tonight and tomorrow's lunch sorted and some turkey burgers coming up.

My five pleasures for Tuesday are:

    1. Having an early morning snuggle with DS2 when he woke up - he was toasting!

    2. Discovering that the overnight vinegar trick with the bath has helped shift some of the limescale and copper(?) residue on it.

    3. Rearranging the overflowing food and toiletries store cupboard - feels very squirrel-like to have stuff stored like this!

    4. Watching a big fat robin hopping about in the garden.

    5. Having a really tasty baked potato and cheese with broccoli for supper - all from today's veggie box - and opening a jar of M&S grilled aubergine to have with it. Found it in the store cupboard - we'd been given it at Christmas time.

    Have a warm night.
