(((hugs))) to you reverbe. here's hoping for better days for you soo.
I've been away so not posted all weekend so better get back on track with todays as the weekend was very pleasurable but not very OS or MSE except for:
1. Staying in a hotel room that was £50 when the rack rate is £220 twas lush!
2. Seeing my baby (21yo) cousin for sunday lunch - not very OS at all as we went to Browns but lovely to catch up as she lives 4 hours away normally.
3. Lovely HM bread and soup for lunch today just what i needed with all the snow
4. Getting some bargain toiletries, went to Wilkos at lunchtime for some essentials and our local store is moving so all old stock was at least 50% off- very glad as i had quite a long list of things we'd run out of and managed to get some Borax which I can't normally find
5. and best of all coming back to a huge hug from OH - he was worried I might not make it back, our village looked beautiful in the snow and now i'm all cuddled up in pjs with HM stew bubbling away on the cooker - BLISS!
blessings to all on this chilly day!Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!'0 -
1. It's been such a pleasure today watching the snow from a warm, comfortable house, even though I was a bit apprehensive about those out and about in it.
2. All Monday plans cancelled seemed to give me a spare day.
3. Cleaning the cooker with no pressure of time.
4. Catching up on my knitting.
5. DH getting home at the normal time dispite the weather conditions.

Hope everyone who had to go out in this awful - but beautiful to look at -weather has got home safely this evening.
My pleasures today included:
1. Looking out at the snow falling and feeling very glad I didnt have to go out in it.
2. Making soup and hotpot for todays meals as I watched children enjoying playing in the snow.
3. Doing some knitting.
4. Sorting out a couple of cupboards - and not before time!
5. Making a start at sorting magazines - that job is long overdue as well!0 -
Reverbe - how today has been better for you. I agree with the person who said there are loads of friends on these forums.
Caterina - hope you are improving too.
My pleasures today:
1. Getting home safely after our weekend away in Surrey. When we woke up this morning, thought we would never get home. Had to go back to our friend's flat for a while but eventually decided to give it a go. Only managed 4 miles in an hour and a half.
2. Finding my dad had cooked a gammon joint which he gave us half of and he had also bought some baking potatoes from Aldi, so that was tea sorted.
3. Realising that I no longer like bought pizza after buying them for tea last night. Our tastes have really changed since we only have HM ones now. More MSE.
4. Having lunch out with son and his girlfriend and she brought along some 2 for 1 vouchers.
5. My friend who has spare keys coming in just before we got home and putting the heating on, so we had a warm house to come into.0 -
1. Snow! Lovely, so pretty - the world seems so still and peaceful when it's muffled by a layer of snow.
2. My flask of hot tea which kept me warm as I waited an hour for the train this morning...
3. Having a nice chat with the Station staff this afternoon as I was waiting for my train home - they let me warm up in front of their gas fire
4. Some nice emails from friends.
5. Coming home to a warm house, to a loving little cat, and having a long hot shower (not very MS but I don't care!)

I am feeling very blessed today, small things make me so happy sometimes
1) A 9pm walk along the river in the snow hand in hand with OH
2) Tea and biscuits when we got home after having a snowball fight
3) Scouse with home-pickled red cabbage and beetroot
4) My kitty running up to welcome me home after a long day in work
5) Snuggling under a blanket watching TV0 -
Let's see, here are mine:
1. Yummy homemade hummus for lunch.
2. An exceptional yummy tofu and veg loaf for dinner - absolutely delicious, turned out perfectly, with a lovely crust and all moist inside. Plenty for the freezer too, will do me for another 3 main meals.
3. Going to Sainburys and finding that the set of saucepans that I bought yesterday for £40 was now priced at £25. And their refund policy says you can get a refund within 28 days, for any reason, if you still have the original packaging. So I whizzed home, packed the pans up, got a refund and bought them for £25 - saving £15.
4. Getting reductions on my Tresemme conditioner (normally £5+ a pot, in Boots for £2) and my Garnier night cream, reduced to £5.20 from £6/£7.
5. Seeing everything look so pretty in the snow.Life is not a dress rehearsal.0 -
Hugs to Reverbe, hope you are feeling better today. You do have a world full of friends on this site, thats what makes it so special.
My five for today
1. Reading all the posts about snow, its 27degrees here (Celsius), and I'm about to head into the swimming pool, but it sounds like you are all having so much fun. We have to travel into the mountains to experience snow- about 150kms, so it must be very special to be able to walk outside into it.
2. Tai Chi this morning, we are all making progress and its a great way to start the day.
3. Picked 2kg of blackberries on the estuary, spent the last 2 hours picking and did not see another person.
4. Started the first batch of blackberry liqueur, will make blackberry wine tomorrow.
5. HM pita bread for lunch filled with homegrown salad.
Blessings be
Jennie0
