Hi all very briefly, thanks for the good wishes, and thanks LilacLillie for putting my greeting message on.
Shoulder pain on the mend but still painful to type, but just wanted to come in and say hi quickly. Am off sick but storing a lot of little unexpected pleasures, will post them once I am ok again.
Love to all
Caterina xxxFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -

2. eating pudding for dinner yummmmmmmmmmmmm
3. ringing an old friend for a natter
4.watching telly with DH and DS
5.grooming my horse."The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0 -
Caterina, good to hear from you, keep on getting better.
I missed posting yesterday so here's the best of my pleasures for two days.
1. Planting some carrot seeds in a tub to start off in the back porch.
2. Walking to the library and seeing in a front garden, daffodil bulbs some 10inches high with nice fat buds. Spring must be nearly here:j
3. Two audio book CD's from the library.
4. Roast chicken lunch and MW syrup sponge went down well with my cousin and wife when they visited today.
5. Receiving the wool my daughter had ordered for me from kempswoolshop.com at 69p per ball:T

hope everyone is managing to keep warm and safe in this awful weather. we are on the coast and the winds are horrendous.
My pleasures:
1. Enjoying fantastic evening with girlfriends, so good to let hair down and laugh and laugh.....
2. One of above group who is an exceptionally good cook asking for one of my recipes!
3. Sitting in my living room when everyone had gone and the clearing up all done enjoying a nightcap in the candlelight listening to Leona Lewis - magic.
4. The beautiful pink sky when I drew back the curtains this morning.
5. My gorgeous granddaughters arriving to spend the weekend with us - how lucky we are to have our families living less than an hour away.
6. Eldest GD saying she loves me singing 'her special song' to her before sleeptime.
7. Looking at them both tucked up fast asleep in bed tonight - special times.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone.0 -
Good to hear from you Caterina, keep getting better. Reverbe I hope you had a better day.
Saturday blessings
1. Neighbour complemented me on my eye make-up, said I always do it well. That free mascara that arrived in the post must be good
2. Neighbours DD and I had lunch out and ate far too much...we groaned all the way home in the car, and laughed til we cried.
3. When we got back the little 'un helped bake a loaf by reading out the recipe - trouble was she was reading half in metric and half in real money! It turned out okay though and later she proudly carried it home.
4. Watched Noels HQ on the television for the first time since it was recmmended to me by a friend. He may be an obnoxious little man but it was heartwarming to see so many 'ordinary' people rewarded for the good they do for their particular concerns.
5. Reading on an MSE forum that Mr A's bakery sometimes gives away fresh yeast if they're asked nicely. Am going to be on my best behaviour next time I shop and see if they will give me some0 -
Morning all!
I don't know about you, but we have no sign of snow down here in deepest essex!
Yesterday's pleasures:
1 Learning that first two lambs have been born on the farm at the top of the lane. Going to visit them this morning!!!!!
2. Watching re-run of Victorian Farm
3. HM rabbit, bacon and mushroom casserole for dinner which had been in the SC all day
4. Crying my eyes out after watching re-run of Anne Frank and being thankful to be alive today
5. Beautiful scenery on History of Scotland, including Amboise, which I visited last year on my first holiday ALONE since divorce
Hmmm - three tv programmes. Methinks I need to get out more!

Get well soon Caterina and take care of yourself.
Today's:
1. Having a Sunday morning lie-in listening to the cold wind howling outside.
2. Quick visit to garden centre to buy compost for my new potato planters.
3. Relieved to sort out our banging central heating pipes - the water header tank
had run dry. Reckon we discovered it just in time to stop the water pump
burning out.
4. Delicious pork joint cooking away in the oven for lunch and our No Alcohol
January has just ended. .
5. About to settle down to my long anticipated latest library book "How we Lived
Then" about how people lived during the Second World War.
I hate these bitter cold days but there's something cosy about being indoors on a miserable winter Sunday, having a leisurely lunch and just "pottering".0 -
- Taking a pile of cardboard to the recycling facility
- Taking a pile of unwanted clothes to same place!
- Using up unwanted cleaning liquid
- Making a friend some muffins as a thank you
- Not going to the shops - cold enough to make brass monkeys hid here
- Having a great time last night with an old friend - food and then a film, not exactly OS but if made me feel fabulous!

Today I am mostly enjoying :
1. Making a start on my 101 things in 1001 days (my end date is October 30th, 2011!)
2. Watching the cat trying to work out what the heck the white fluffy things that were falling from the sky were all about.
3. The fish cakes that I improvised yesterday from fish none of us liked and was heading for the bin and some leftover boiled potatoes were actually rather nice.
4. Will be making an Indian meal later - chicken curry, onion bhajis, cauliflower and potato curry, papadums and boiled rice - yummy!
5. Will have enough curry sauce to put aside for 3 more Indian meals (and hopefully enough leftovers to do me a lunch or two this week)0
