The Vallikids have bought me a sat nav! Given my ability to get lost this will have come to a relief to my parents who have loaned me theirs up till now and those family members who have had to come and find me!
DD took me out for a meal. I took my passport for birthday discount!
Many thanks for your good wishes - and Cycling - super helpful delivery men? Every cloud...

    Morning all

DH decided at 5:30 yesterday it would be a good down to drastically prune 2 trees (reduced by 2/3rds) DS2 helped me get most of it cut up and into the dump bags. Trip to dump required this morning now.

Had champagne and steak at home with the kids, the fire and the rugby so everybody happy.

Waiting to see how DS3 is when he gets up before deciding on today. Going to do my ironing, WM is on and list one thing on ebay I forgot last week.

CY glad progress is being made. It sounds like your ister really wants to help.

    Morning flyladies.

CY - so glad that your day improved.
Biscuit monster - I so miss the five mile route marches with OldDog and I'm piling on the pounds due to lack of exercise. Our walks take a long time but we don't go far.

This is her list of ailments (now on three different meds a day) - arthritis, cataracts, deaf, dementia and tumour on her jaw BUT she is eating better than she ever did (never was driven by food) and gets excited still at the prospect of going out.

Today I'm going to walk the dogs, slowly, bath them, hoover and mop through the house and hopefully get some gardening done when the mist lifts.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning all.

Was wide awake at 6am, got up at 7am when my phone battery died ;) So far today I've done 2 WM which are out on the line drying, and the 3rd load is in on a long proper wash as its towels. Dog keeps hinting he wants to go for a walk so now my phone is charged and DD is up I can take him.

Plan for today is to get the laundry done, stop the front door from sticking, and get some door curtains up as its getting chilly of a night here. DD is asking for a cooked breakfast for tea, so I'll sort that later. In theory its a relatively quiet day for a change, but I know how our quiet days get busy fast! :rotfl:

I might finish the lists off later, depends on how long I'm out walking and how long it takes to fix the front door. :(

Back from a lovely dog walk, couldn't see far due to the mist. Third load of washing in the machine, one more to go, and I'm sitting here eating the last of the cakes from Friday's coffee morning.

Next will be bathing the dogs.

    WM 1 on the line
    WM2 in progress
    Bathroom floor hoovered and washed
    Bedroom floor hoovered
Car load of tree taken to the dump

Planning on popping out for a few hours now and then hoovering and mopping downstairs when we get back.

WM x 1 on the line, was towels so did a 90degree wash to clean the machine at the same time! Have cleaned out the hutch, so that has been left open to air. Prepped lunch, veg are ready to go, chicken in oven and apples cooked for crumbles, crumble mix made and in fridge until I bake them, I am making DD some individual ones she can freeze when she gets back. I will be using my sat nav!
We are popping into town, DD wants a maiden so we will go to Wilk0 I think.

Dogs are bathed, house is hoovered & mopped through and I've had a quick lunch. And now (due to the cold I think) I've run out of energy so am not going to bother with the garden today even though the mist has now lifted.

5 loads of washing done including the dog towels. 2 loads on the line, 3 on the airer.

So I'm going to sit down for a while, probably snooze, and then maybe potter a bit.

I hope everyone is enjoying their day.

  • No flying during the week - have been having building work done.

Dust everywhere! Bed stripped and linen on line drying. Have run a duster over everything in house and vacuumed. More work being done next week so no point in scrubbing to hard.
