UndecidedHow do you know which features do what and which are good to turn off and which will risk leaving you at risk of viruses and spyware?0

I have never upgradedI'm actually giving this a first go tonight (building a new PC from scratch for my brother-in-law)
I'll be starting with a Win7 retail DVD and plan to install -> upgrade to win10. Then wipe and clean install win10 from DVD using the media creator tool. Then I have the win10 drivers etc for all the hardware all lined up on a USB ready to install
Am I right in understanding the current licensing assumptions are:
-I now have win 7 retail currently on a fully portable license and upgradable on any machine (so long as it's only installed on one machine at a time)
-Once i've installed it on a machine and upgraded to Win10 so long as I stick with that machine I'll be able to keep win10 and reinstall at any point in future even after the 1 year Win10 offer period
-If i want to move the license after the offer period I'll still be able to do that but only with the original Win7 retail license and then that and subsequent machines will not be upgradable to Win10?0 -
