Go out every night and bend it slightly towards their garden until it is below the top of your fence.

They might think that the wind is blowing it over.

    How long is this fence?

First you tell us it 'goes on for around 100 ft'.

Then you show a picture of less than 40 ft.

And now you are claiming it 'is around 150ft long'.

I would hope OP would ignore this (and previous vandalism suggestion). Not the way to go....I've been on the receiving end of similar bits of vandalism by my nfh and I twigged pretty soon that it was down to them - and its not the type of thing that neighbour-on-receiving end of vandalism is likely to just "grin and bear"

Having said that - I do sympathise with OP and wouldn't be very happy in their position either. But vandalism isn't something that would prove penalty-free imo.

I wonder whether they may be adopting a dog.

Some rescues insist on an unstable topping for fences to discourage a dog, who climbs wooden fences.

I notice that the OP has politely given the neighbour the 'good' side of the fence. They could decide that it needs weatherproofing and could tell the neighbours that they will have to remove individual panels to do this (One of our neighbours does this rather than come into our garden)...Then replace, giving them the 'poor' side.

If they are getting a dog that will clear a 2m fence, they're choosing the wrong dog for a small garden.

Why's this thread going on for 3 pages?

It's straightforward. Politely ask them to take it down. If it doesn't come down in an appropriate time frame, take it down yourselves.

Give it back, of course. :A

The size of the fence/garden's irrelevant.

With an alleged 150 ft fence down one side. ;)

There's only six panels in the picture.

True, but the picture doesn't appear to be taken at the start of the fence and the end is obscured by trees/shrubbery.

No, the garden is cut in half as we used to one end for us and one for the kids :-)
