I'm not doing Stoptober but working my own way toward quitting.

I'd like to ask if any Vapers have recommendations for which e-cigs are best?

I've tried one but it stopped recharging. I also made the mistake of going menthol which didn't help me at all, sadly. I want to try again with tobacco liquid but would appreciate some help on which product to go for.

Cheers! and good luck to all doing Stoptober.

    Hey

I tried a while back with a vivid vapour e-cig, and it worked for a while but then the vape wasn't that good, there wasn't the throaty hit and there wasn't much vape coming off it. That was a wick type e-cig, I then read that the coil ones are better.

So 9 days ago I got myself a Curve Mini 2, it was £35 for the e-cig and you got a free bottle of liquid, you can choose the power of it, it goes from 3.3-5.5, the higher the number the more "smoke" that comes off it, but the more flavour that comes through it (I think the higher the number the hotter the coil gets quicker)

I have been using the machine for 9 days now, and I LOVE it. I don't even think about cigarettes anymore, I used to smoke L+B Fresh Burst, and I tried a lot of my friends fruit flavoured vape but I didnt like them I found a great website called true vape that make your liquid to order

My current vape and a one I will be sticking with I think is called Desert Ship which is described as "Desert Ship is a stout tobacco e liquid with hints of liquorice and spicy undertones – add a dash of menthol to bring out the Pirate in you!" IT IS SOOOOOO NICE, I got extra menthol ice added to it for the minty aftertaste, its delicious so nice in fact that I have just ordered a 50ml bottle (which will last me over a month)

I have been using my 10ml bottle since last thursday so this is day 8 of that bottle, I have enough for today and tomorrow, so a 10ml bottle lasts me 9 days, and I was a 20 a day smoker,

Cheers! and good luck to all doing Stoptober.

A few weeks ago I asked a friend to recommend a good e-cig, because the effects of long-term smoking were beginning to worry me (ie. being so short of breath I was having trouble keeping up with m' fifteen year old dog!). Said friend used to be an avid smoker too, but he's taken up vaping during the last couple of years when we haven't seen each other, and I was impressed with how much healthier he is now. In that time, Friend told me he has tried half a dozen different products of wildly varying quality and effectiveness, finally settling on an e-cigarette from this company:
    https://www.misteliquid.co.uk/home
I bought a starter kit with a supply of the tobacco flavour liquid, and was amazed to discover that I really didn't miss smoking 'real' cigarettes at all (except when the e-cig battery is on charge, lol).

Since then a couple of other mates have noticed the very rapid improvement in my lung function and have likewise bought kits from the same company. The quality of the e-cig itself is great, and apparently - according to the first friend who is something of an amateur chemist and has done the 'legwork' as it were - this brand of e-liquid conforms to the highest Western standards, avoiding the more questionable ingredients found in cheaper liquids imported from the East.

So rather by default I may as well join in with the Stoptober challenge; didn't set out to give up smoking entirely - having failed many times before - but it looks like that will be the end result of my experiment. :D

Btw, I have no connection with the company mentioned above, beyond being a happy customer. For those who decide to click on the link, you'll see they have several special offers to coincide with Stoptober - an added MSE bonus! ;)

The Mist Mini looks exactly the same as my Curve Mini 2 :)

I've got the silver one, totally recommend it :)

    Which one do you have???

The kit I bought isn't showing at the moment because Mist have simplified the website for their Stoptober offers so as not to confuse new users, but it's an Aspire with 1000mA Kanger battery - believe an up-dated version will soon be available.

Like you, am very happy with my choice. :)

    Day 9!!

Have you told your friends and family you're giving up? Is it easier to try by yourself without letting them know initially? Or do you think they may be able to help you if you tell them?

*Robin* That's very helpful - I wasn't aware of coils so I appreciate the info so I can look into it.
