Thanks for that Manx Red, but where does that leave me?

I still have the £100 charge now with a view to raising to £150 after 28 days and then court action.

for a company working "outside the rules" they sure look ominous enough.

Oh for goodness' sake, they are a bunch of clowns. Do you still not get that it's all a pack of lies on a par with an email from Nigeria? You haven't got a charge, you've got toilet paper, and the only way Cheetham/UKPPO is going to court is if they get prosecuted for what they are doing.

They won't want a judge to look at all this. Whilst the BPA and DVLA are complicit in the whole PPC 'business model' of extracting money from members of the public who aren't conversant with the relevant laws, and hence will go to great lengths to 'turn a blind eye', a judge won't be sympathetic at all.

Any skullduggery (and boy, there's a barrel full in this one!) will not be looked at favourably in court.

    They'll know that.

Besides, if they really were stupid enough to pursue you to court on this, you'd get experts from here and Pepipoo queueing up to represent you (as a lay rep) and people would be selling popcorn on the steps of the court.

    Hello Again

I made a formal complaint to the DVLA this weekend using their complaints procedure link.

The link to the Chief Executive would not work so I just posted through the DVLA online email service - specifically " Release of information from DVLA vehicle records"
The site gives a message stating they have 10 days to reply?

    Keep you posted

There's always good old snail mail, which carries more weight anyway than simply filling in an online form.

    Dear Mr /////////////,

Thank you for your further email regarding this matter.

I apologise that I have not been in contact sooner to provide an update which should have been provided yesterday in accordance with the complaint handling timescales.

At this time, the DVLA are still investigating this matter but I hope to provide a response to your original complaint soon.

    Kind regards

Followed your post, a little late now. Does it state on the back of the PCN that POPLA is available or have they now removed it? I`ve been waiting 2 weeks now for my reply from dvla on same point.

Hello and no POPLA offered on the PCN.
Somewhere earlier in this post is mentioned the reason ?
But as you can read, opinion on the forum is that UKPPO will eventually "go away".
    May take some time though.
