    CC it to the DVLA.

I'd suggest a formal complaint to the DVLA along the lines I suggested above, and be prepared to escalate, escalate, escalate.

    Morning Fellas.
Along the lines of what Bazster poste I sent a complaint to DVLA yesterday?

    7.35 am this came back.

    Dear Mr ///////////

Thank you for your email regarding this matter.

To assist DVLA’s investigation, I would be grateful if you could provide copies of the correspondence between yourself and the BPA which confirms that the parking company are not complying with the code of practice.

As some of the points raised relate to the code of practice, DVLA will need to contact the BPA on this matter also, to establish if the parking company are managing areas outside of their remit.

Thank you for raising this matter with the DVLA.

    Kind regards

You've got his attention now so do as he asks and send him the correspondence obviously!!!

Specifically, your complaint to the BPA and their reply saying that the Code of Practice is not relevant.

Surely it was obvious that these should've been attached to your complaint? Anyway, no harm done because, for once, he wants to investigate further instead of giving you a routine brush-off, so give him what he asks for! This is considerable progress, far more than most complaints to the DVLA achieve!

  • OK. I have sent DVLA what they requested (correspondence from BPA) early this morning.

Nearly end of business day and no reply yet?

    Keep you posted

Panic-stricken emails are flying between the DVLA and BPA. "What the hell did you tell him that for? How do we get out of this without suspending UKPPO?"

They're creative, they'll think of something.

Remember when they thought of 'stopping at the side of a road for a few seconds' and 'parking in a car park/parking space' being the same thing in order to get around some rather enormous KADOE contract breaches?

Yes, and when Highview was caught out no longer being a member of the AOS they dreamed up the notion of a "joint membership" and pretended Highview was a joint member with Ranger.

  • Hello Again

Nearly close of business day and nothing back from DVLA yet?

I guess they are building a strategy ?

The BPA have already thought of a (admittedly) useless excuse, namely that the law appears to over-ride their CoP, so that any members dishing out Penalties, whilst perfectly willing to offer POPLA, can't.

Nothing wrong here, move along now...
