Debt Recovery Plus? Does it have a paragraph headed 'My Findings'?
I bet it doesn't say 'or court proceedings'! More 'may recommend to our client that they consider court proceedings'.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

which translated means
we are getting no where trying to con you , we are fed up of sending letters with no chance of getting 10% from "scum and Co" , we will now pass it on to the person with a red crayon and a ZZPS email address ,0 -
No ZZPS email address. Demand is from https://www.debtrecovery.co.uk with a Collections Manager named Sarah Connor no less
The debt is now £159.99 and looks very official.???? But it does state : we will recommend to the creditor that court action should be taken.0 -
just more DRP bull***
my advice is not to read ANY debt collector letters
only read an official LBC from the landowner, or managing agent, or the PPC, or an official court letter from Northampton (MCOL) , Salford (Manual Handling Centre) , or an official court itself (like the one local to the PPC)
post #4 of the NEWBIES thread tells you about debt collectors and their letters0 -
They won't take court action. They won't want a judge examining this scam too closely.Je Suis Cecil.0

This below is the latest DVLA reply which again shows me their position. I pointed out the reasons for wanting this to be reopened etc but the reply seems to negate that
https://www.debtrecovery.co.UK give me to the 17th to pay. No further replies from ICO or my MP despite chasing the up. Looks like I am on my own here.
Dear Mr ////////
Thank you for your email.
Firstly, for the sake of clarity, I can confirm that I was referring to the UK Parking Patrol Office that are BPA members and run a parking enforcement operation in Newcastle airport, I understand that they are a limited company.
Secondly, it is not within the gift of DVLA to provide legal opinion. I understand that you feel that the points you make aren't being addressed properly by the Agency, but I can assure you that we have looked into this issue in some detail. I can only re-iterate that we are satisfied the release of data for the purpose of the parking enforcement in Newcastle airport is lawful. DVLA released your information on the basis that reasonable cause was demonstrated.
Finally, contested parking charges are matters between the individual and the parking enforcement company and ongoing disputes may ultimately be decided via the civil courts.
Regards
Mark

Don`t worry about DR+ they will return with further letters. You could write a reply once only such as. "Debt denied refer back to your client and don`t contact me again" At least that would show you had been reasonable and made contact for anything coming later.
As always don't phone and letters by 1st class post with record of posting (free at post office)0 -
By the way, you need to know that Debt Recovery only get paid their thirty pieces of silver if you pay them directly. The moment that court proceedings begin they are out of the loop and get nothing.
It's not in their interests for a court claim to be raised, their references to this are purely to scare you into paying up.Je Suis Cecil.0
