I was lucky enough to get a code so went online yesterday to order.
All seemed ok BUT still haven't received a confirmation email from Sky.
Luckily I took a screenshot of my order that includes my account number.
However, when i log in to sky (they sent me a link via text message) there is no mention of my order or how to track it.
Going to call them today.
Anyone else had this ?0 -
I also never got an email from Sky, which I thought was very strange.
I did register online using the account number provided though and everything online appears to be there are correct. So if you can register using just the account number, rather what was sent in text (I never provided a mobile) that might be one option first. Does the online account number match the one provided on check out?
Good luck with Sky, you will probably need luck and a great deal of patience. I had one online chat advisor repeatedly deny the existence of the money saving expert deal when I wanted to check on a few points and only got sensible answers when I asked to be transferred to complaints.0 -
I signed up for this and never got a confirmation email either - bit odd that. But then again I can't remember whether I entered it when giving my details via their form. The fact that others haven't had the email either is reassuring!0

Does anyone have a spare code? I'd like to take advantage of this offer and ditch virgin!
Cheers0 -
STILL no confirmation email though the customer advisor i chatted to online assured me it would be sent by yesterday.
He also mentioned a date had been set for a 'visit'. I'm guessing engineer's visit, but is there really any point ? Pretty sure I can set up a router myself.

Not received my email, but just spoke to Sky and was told the email had "not sent", and he could not resend it so seems to be a problem at their end.
However if you have the account number that was provided at end of the application when confirming, you can, (and will have to anyway), set up a Sky ID, you can then access the order and transfer date of the service.

I signed up on the 23rd September, entered bank details for direct debit, and details for £20 connection fee, but still not heard anything. Ive tried to ring several times but am just kept holding on, never getting my call answered. Anyone else managed to do this deal?
Thanks:mad:0 -
Following on from my post above, I finally got through to Sky this morning - they do not have any record of my having signed up & wouldn't honour the deal!
Hope others were luckier0 -
I am interested in the quality of the service for those that signed up.
If I was an existing Sky customer I would be pretty peevedPlease be nice to all MoneySavers. That’s the forum motto. Remember, the prime aim is to help provide info and resources. If you don’t like someone, their situation, their question or feel they’re intruding on ‘your board’ then please bite the bullet and think of the bigger issue.:)0 -

Why? I'm an existing sky broadband customer and I'm happy with the product. I got a good deal when I joined and they offered me a decent, but not exceptional, deal to recontract for another 12 months.
I know, as does everyone, that you need to keep switching to get the best deals. I wouldn't be annoyed of anyone that got a good deal on anything, ever. I might be a bit jealous but good on them for finding a good deal at the right time.
I am annoyed that sky are putting line rental up by another quid... but that's just how things are going.0
