Can't log in either to do switch - don't see this changing in the next 30min. Bad luck I suppose.:(0

My attempts at signing up to the E-on deal have failed and now I can't even get onto the site - it says either maintenance or overuse or something - sulk!!!
Persistence pays - I got onto the website just in time and have done the application with 5 minutes to go woohoo!!! ps not sulking anymore :-D0 -
Seems too many people are trying to switch/compare at the last minute. I keep getting a "503 service temporarily unavailable". Can't log on to Scottish Power site either to see my bill/usage. Erm...:(0

Now working and cut-off time is extended to 11pm. :T0

I am all electric and inherited night storage. A most inconvenient way of heating my home. I investigated the alternatives, obtained 4 quotes and made my choice. In theory the changes should have happened this week so that I could switch.
A raw material supplier problem has delayed my new heaters to the end of September. My current very expensive supplier will not switch me to a standard electricity until the heaters have changed and I did not want to switch until I did have my new heaters.
Rats!:mad:0 -
Realised at 10.51 that the deadline had been extended and managed to complete everything by 10.58. Got an unexpected e-mail from e-ON, on the e-mail address I use for Scottish Power, which I do have an account with.
I did a comparison using the Energy Club for the MSE Collective Switch, but definitely did not switch, and as far as I know, did not allow marketing info.
It looks like they are getting ready to switch me.

You've got mail
Dear *** ***** *****
Thanks for letting us know you'd like us to send you information by email.
What does this mean for me?
You'll receive contact from us by email instead of through the post. We're introducing our emails gradually, so you'll still get a few things through the post until we're all up and running.
What kind of things will you send me?
We'll only send you important information that you need to know about your account, including:
•Changes to Direct Debit payments, if you've chosen to pay this way.
•Asking for meter readings
•Reminding you about any appointments you have with us.
•Reminding you about paying for the energy you've used, if you haven't already told us when
you're going to pay.
•Anything else we think you'll need to know about your service from us.
Don't worry, we won't send you information to sell you anything, unless you've already told us we can.0 -
I sent my niece a reminder yesterday morning about it being the last day, and forwarded her the email I received yesterday morning warning the offer closed at 10pm on Thursday.
I had an email back last night telling me she got her application in at 9.59pm! Talk about cutting it close."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
Oh well, just a mistake from e-ON.
Called e-ON on 0333 202 4610, around 9am, and got through straightaway. Very on the ball, he told me they know 400,000 e-mails went out yesterday, incorrectly, and they are dealing with it.
This is how it appears

I would like to think that Deidre had an office birthday party, and somebody was drunk, and used the wrong mailing list.0 -

Have I missed out?
Sorry Hannah but, under industry rules covering collective switches, we're not allowed to do this. Hope you were able to sort something out.
