    Hey YorkshireBoy,

I have the "max" 4 N/W current accounts, and as I know you're an avid collector, is there any point in my applying for another for this incentive?
Or should I close one of the accounts and then apply? - however, I'm still waiting for those incentives and so closing them may not be possible...

Others have reported being able to obtain more than 4, so you might want to try? You have nothing to lose and £100 to gain.

If you wait until they've formally closed the account the MSM/MSE offer may have be pulled. Don't forget yesterday's email was received by millions of people!...and this one is very easy to get, with no DDs/SOs required, so I think the marketing budget will be busted very soon.
  • I can't get the link to work. For me it gives an insecure warning. I've tried this from different devices and on different browsers and tried after deleting cookies.

Hopefully they'll fix it. Assuming they do:

Can anyone tell me in advance, do you need the number of the debut card of the account you want to switch from, to complete this process?

    Thanks

    Just completed my application.

The link was working Ok and, yes, you do need your debit card number (if there is a debit card on your old account).

The process in my case was a bit funny. It approved an account, but on the final page it said they'd need to do further checks and that I'll hear within 5 days...

I do already have 4 accounts with N/W and so hope this does work

If you are waiting for incentives, i wouldn't close any of those accounts for atleast another 2 months

I am not hopeful here. Followed all the instructions, applied and was accepted... but no conifrmation email from the moneysuperrewards site (which another poster above says he received), and the offer has now disappeared from that URL. Kind of get the feeling I've switched an account to Nationwide for no benefit when I could have switched it to another bank for £100 or so. Anyone else waiting in limbo?

You should be able to stop the switch by calling Nationwide.

Did you check your spam folder for the Moneysupermarket email?

I have just spoken to the dept running the campaign and they are now suggesting that your salary has to be paid into the account and direct debits need to be transferred across at the same time as the switch.

I have said there is nothing in the terms and conditions other than to qualify
for the 5% interest you need to pay in £1000. Also nothing about direct debits.

I advised not everyone like me works and in our case would be state and private pensions.

They apparently have received a lot of queries regarding this offer and are awaiting on Nationwide for the answers.

The offer is still showing on Nationwide website.

I completed my application on Wednesday. The only email I have received to go into branch with ID. The account is not showing on internet banking yet.

Do I still need to go to the branch if I am existing customer?
