    Hi Zanderman,

Did you have to commit to the switch during/at the end of the application, or can you initiate that later? Someone asked earlier in the thread but I don't think it was answered.
  • You can initiate it later when you've set up internet banking there is a drop down menu to apply for the switch.

There is an option in the last (I think it was) page of the Nationwide screens to switch later - I chose to switch asap as I didn't want to risk anything not getting registered/linked/whatever the process is.

Already had the email from Money Super Rewards re the £100 cashback and from Nwide re the new account.

Many thanks for that and it has now worked. Sorry I sounded a bit short but pure frustration.

Also application accepted straight away with a generous overdraft limit but went back on the application to say no. I have another account with them and already enjoying an interest free overdraft but use it in a sensible manner in case they decide to withdraw it.

    Thanks,

I'm just completing the appliction and am trying to switch my Yorkshire Bank current account but i keep getting the message:

"Sorry, Account Switch is not available for the account number and sort code you have specified. If you wish to try another account, please use the 'previous' button to go back and enter new details."

    EDIT
For some reason on the forth time of trying it the account details were accepted - very strange!

Tried last night using the MSE link but when transferred through to Nationwide they wouldn't let me start the application as their link to the CRAs was down. Suggested I try again from 6am today.

Completed the MSM/MSE form again this morning but this time it wouldn't let me proceed as "that email address has already been used for this offer", so used a different email address.

    This post serves 2 purposes:

    1. To warn others not to apply late at night, and
    2. To help secure the £100 from MSM/MSE if there are problems later because I completed the form twice. :)
