CY - I'll be wielding a "virtual" bat for your rat splatting with you. Thought about you a lot today and wish it had been better news x

Zero flying done - had no time (rubbish excuse I know) but I have sourced a wrought iron casement latch and window stay for the window in my boys' room. Our house is listed, so all repairs/replacements have to be like for like. The latch sheared off and can't be repaired, so had to get a new one. Almost identical, which is fantastic!

I'm not really sure where the day went

Late start again tonight!! Trying to muster the energy to move off the sofa and tidy the kitchen. It's not too bad but the sun room is full of clothes - which I will fold and take ustairs!!

So update one hour later - kitchen wiped down and fridge given wipe and clear out. Clothes sorted from sunroom and kitchen table cleared and wiped. That's going to be it tonight I think. I have promised myself I will do something every evening - no matter how small. Kitchen sink is gleaming so I feel ok!!
  • Hello all. I'm going to try to join in with this properly this week, rather than just lurking. I never seem to catch up with all the stuff that I want to get done (currently should have no excuse as I'm not officially working, although do seem to still be doing a fair bit from home).

Some of these I've done pretty recently, so I'm counting them ;)

Monday Mayhem - Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Level 1
Vacuum through the living room, [STRIKE]hall and stairs[/STRIKE]
    Level 2
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
[STRIKE]Clean windows and all glass..[/STRIKE] including the tv screen
Clear the mantel and only put back the items which are supposed to be there.. and that doesn't include letters, keys or other treasure!
    Level Three
Put all your hotspots in one pile and work your way through it..
Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself

    Extra Mission:
Have a bit of a tidy under the stairs. (Could be tricky, this is OH's domain)
Wipe down any paintwork that needs it.
Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
Wash any cushions, throws or curtains that need it

Tuesday Trauma - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces[/STRIKE]
    Level Two
    Sweep and mop floors
Clean the fridge.. get rid of all those furry things growing in corners!
    Level Three
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, microwave etc
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..
Clean out your mankiest kitchen cupboard..

    Extra Mission:
Run the WM through 'clean cycle'.. hottish wash with a splosh of vinegar, soda crystals bleach.. whatever you fancy just clear those pipes of gunge!
Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk!
    31 fling boogie..
    [STRIKE]Wipe over the [/STRIKE]oven and [STRIKE]hob[/STRIKE]
Empty the bin.. wash it out.. and make it smell SWEET
    MFW #66 - £4800 target
  • Evening all,

CY more hugs your way, and keep shrinking vibes xxx

Nothing done today except paid stuff and dealing with three extra children for after school play and tea. Then took dog for a walk to calm down. Now sitting on my bottom. Will do lots tomorrow honest, as no paid stuff. Luckily the place is not that bad as worked hard at weekend. Have a good evening folks x

    Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o
  • I remember reading about someone who totaLly beat the crud out of a nasty illness by visualising the cells withering and dying. If we all concentrate on the baddies doing that and the heathy ones thriving and overpowering them it will hopefully do the world of good.
I'm off to bed now but will be concentrating on badness withering and fading away while I doze.

Will play catch up with the lists tomorrow
    night all

  • Ok study has come round again - my ROD! It got a bit of a tidy last week but has crept back into it's disorganised state. Will have to make more of an effort tomorrow

I'll join your splatting team too, CY, and give some withering looks to boot. Keep your pecker up, lass! We're all with you in this :grouphug:

I have not achieved a lot today. At SW the scales wouldn't charge and we had to wait for a new set, so my plans of coming home straight after the weigh-in came to nothing, and instead I was home half an hour later than usual. That meant a rush to have lunch and get to my vol job (which I particularly enjoyed today as I was on tea relief, with short stints in several different rooms instead of being in the same one all afternoon), and I had to call in to @1d! on my way home. Cooked and ate tea, finished off the Minutes, felt desperately tired, sat down to watch TV and have slept most of the evening while DH was out.

Oh well, tomorrow is another day. The study *will* be the room that I shall be concentrating on (or in :p ).

    Goodnight all x
