CY I love your splat the rat idea. Great analogy! I hope you get the remaining 3 sessions out the way in good time for :xmastree:
I've had a good morning. Family bathroom and en-suite are done. I've unloaded the DW, Put 2 loads of washing on and washed all the hard floors.
I took a very deep breath and entered DS2's bedroom. Like Valli I have picked up a million grubby socks (40). I've picked up the floordrobe and put in in neat piles on his bed for him to put away when he gets in from college. I've evicted everything from his walk in cupboard and have a good pile for the CS.
I'm just having a cup of tea then I'm going to dust and hoover DS2's room (now I can see the floor). I have delayed doing this so far as DS1 is still asleep (Works night shift until 2am).

Had a bit of a slow day yesterday as was back in paid stuff with an event all morning and then an afternoon of catching up on emails from when I was on leave, and then had a Tesco order coming in the evening so didn't get much done. I did do Level 1 before work yesterday though which made me feel incredibly virtuous! Onwards and upwards then...

Afternoon all,
CY, I will allow you to use the C word this early, as long as I'm still allowed to be in complete denial until the second week in December;)

That suits me fine Biscuit monster! I normally don't think about the C word until after DD2's birthday on December 9th. Then I normally panic. This year I want to enjoy it. And enjoy planning it.:jFlylady and proud of it:j0

Well I'm refusing to give in to the tired.. I did a school run, dyed yarn, fed the DW x2 and now sorting party food.. I'm so going to be in bed for 9pm lol.
My hands are blue!
BH.. tell him to apply now he can probably get places on most courses at college still or even try a couple of 6 week taster courses to give him an idea what he might want to do. OH is making a bathroom cabinet! I'm so utterly delighted he has found something to do he enjoys even if school runs are slowly killing meLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Phew, just finished paid stuff (sort of, might do another hour later). Been a good first week back.
School run was ok too - DD was out on time, enabling me to get to DS class before they were evicted :T Then I went into the office to ask the receptionist to book them both out for a day as medical appointment - last year I had to put it in writing and explain the whole bliddy bereavement thing again. This time, no questions asked, not even for an appointment card! Yaay!
I'm just about to grate some cheese then they can make their flatbread pizza snacks, which they've decided is for tea. DS is also having a fruit kebab made in school - it has apple, grapes and tomato on it :rotfl: what a combo!
I've just put a wash on and emptied DW! And need to have a look at the list to see what I've missed
Tomorrow, for the first time in 4yrs, I'm going to a salon for a haircut! It's the first of my non-working days since DD started school, so I'm also going to meet my mother for a :coffee: after at the shopping centre nearby :TBossymoo

Enjoy some me time Bossy and have a great holiday Lynne.
I decided to do the kids bedrooms today so they have had a good dust, hoover and declutter. Sorted a couple of e-mails that need to be dealt with. 2 loads of washing done, its a lovely day here.
I decided that when DS went back to school I would get my act together with mealtimes and start planning and using my slow cooker again. I am really pleased with how this is working out, it makes life so much easier when you are organised. Gym class tonight and I need to be getting ready soon. Will just put some laundry away first.0 -
I hope you enjoy your hairdresser appointment, Bossy and your day out.
Progress:
[STRIKE] Muck out my office
Turn it into accommodation room
Clean shower room
Clean landing windows for secondary glazing
Get draught excluder curtain down from attic, along with LA's cushions and pillows, and put the dog crate and sewing stuff up there.
Turn superking around
Turn double around[/STRIKE]
Defrost kitchen fridge
Wash the kitchen floor again
Wipe out lodger's fridge
I also went to collect some drugs for the dog to dose him up. He's been getting a little bit more hysterical each day since I ran out of soothing drugs about 10 days ago and the last 24 hours were obviously very worrying for him. I decided to put him back on them, checked the dosage I was giving him and discovered he'd been on half the ideal dose for a dog his size, which was obviously why I didn't think they were that effective. Gave him his first one at about 11.00 am today and he's lying back in a deckchair with his sunglasses and speedos on, sipping a pina colada.
That's enough for one day. I'm going to hop in the bath to Fly myself.Better is good enough.0 -
I've managed to prepare my 99 books, I have 42 newsletters printed, my calling book (so I know where I've put books through) is updated with the Christmas only customers, and I was going to put them out tonight but I still need to do new customer letters. However I'm getting square eyes from looking at the computer all day watching catch up TV so I'm going to run to Mr A with DD for a top up shop as we're out of milk then do the rest of it.
Flying wise I've tided the kitchen, finished the laundry and hung it all out to dry. We need to get moving to Mr A though or we won't get any bargains from the reduced section.
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
