Hope today is good for you and bad for the nasty cells, CY.
Thanks for all GWS vibes. I slept like a log last night and feel a lot better this morning, but am keeping my fingers crossed that the migraine really has gone - not quite sure atm.
Today's plan:
- transfer cash - Can't do because the online banking for this particular bank only allows transfer between its own accounts ?!?!? so need to go and withdraw cash
- ask DH to deliver Old Wives programmes and a birthday card on his way into town - request made, envelopes ready
- revise more files - 2 already done and printed
- laminate umpteen cards
- finish this set of boxes
- WM [STRIKE]x1[/STRIKE] done x2 x3 x4 and hang out (it's lovely sunny day here)
- sort clothes etc for the weekend away
- cook dhal soup for lunch and gammon with butternut squash chips for tea
- choir tonight
I shall be pleased if I get that lot done0 -
Do you think your kittens were involved in Thumper's demise, Dusty?
It seems unfair, Valli, that the one week you know you want to enjoy their company and be happy to have them around they decide to make their presence felt by spreading their stuff around the house. *calm and affectionate vibes* plus a (((hug))) heading your way, and *tidy, tidy, tidy* vibes heading their way.Great progress, Honey Bear :T Did the dog enjoy his pina colada?
Very much, thank you Ionafan. He's had another pill this morning and has put his towel on a sunlounger-style dogbed while he waits for his first long walk. I hope your migraine has been kicked into touch.YORKSHIRELASS wrote: »Back at hospital today with DS, just routine stuff but its a 100 mile round trip and for some reason sitting with him for 4 or 5 hours while he is hooked up to a drip is exhausting!
I hope the day goes smoothly for you both.cyclingyorkie wrote: »Today I will hopefully be decluttering unwelcome nasty cells. Any additional withering vibes are most welcome.
Mega-withering vibes heading your way, post haste.
I'm going to- finish the fridges,
- spot clean the carpets,
- finish washing the sitting room window frame
- wash the kitchen floor again, this time getting into the hairy corners.
Better is good enough.0 -
Honey no it won't have been the gingers but I know it was the big black one who brought it to the door (and probably ate its head as didn't want breakfast). The question is did he kill it or find it dead? Feel so awful about it.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Oh no have you got to go round to them and tell them the sad news...? Don't tell them you think it was the cat..say you found it when you went into your garden this morning..or something like that. I mean it could have been a fox.. I know how you mean though I would feel awful too. That's why I'm glad my two horrors are indoor cats and would more likely run away from anything that wasn't me or the dogs..lolMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Much appreciated Honey Bear.
DD has gone to Lyme Park *envious* with her friend; I'm just about to leave for work.
It has been decided that the Vallikids will both go back Saturday; It's the marathon Sunday and there are road closures here *groan* I can get out; but my mum will have problems.
I will take DD and my mum will take DS.
This means I will have Sunday to reclaim my home:D:cool: though I will, of course, miss them.:(
off to work now.
merde!

BH.. tell him to apply now he can probably get places on most courses at college still or even try a couple of 6 week taster courses to give him an idea what he might want to do. OH is making a bathroom cabinet! I'm so utterly delighted he has found something to do he enjoys even if school runs are slowly killing me
This is the thing, I don't think he would like to go back to college. He did uni a few years ago and didn't enjoy the studying side (which is basically all of uni) so I don't think he would do it. I'm hoping that he will find some sort of entry-level transport management job (he did some modules on it at uni and really enjoyed it), but I think they are few and far between. I think we'll just have to keep our eyes peeled!
Valli - jealous of your YS bargain! Went into sainsbugs yesterday and there wasn't anything (to be fair, it's been closed for a week for a refub, so they probably only had new stock anyway...but that's not the point!)
Frizzle - congrats on the impending pink present! :T:p Glad the boys are looking forward to having a sister
CY - hope the hospital trip goes as well as it can. *sends super-dose of withering vibes*
Dusty - sorry to hear about your grim discovery, that must have been horrible!
Manged to S&S the kitchen yesterday and dailies, but that was about it because yesterday was shopping day. Going rounds to mum's for a catch up after work, but should have some flying-time when I get in.
Hugs and spoons to those that need them xxEvery act of kindness, no matter how small, isn’t wasted ❤️

I finally got the book round to school but I've had one of those mornings. I still need to get other books and come cards out to customers so thats next on my list now I've eaten lunch. Between my phone ringing at least 3 times with 4v0n calling me, falling asleep in the bath for an hour, the dog pestering me to go out every 5 minutes when I wasn't upstairs then my laptop was on a go slow again I'm surprised I made it before the start of lunch bell went!
I'm going to get tea in the slowcooker, then get on with the books. DD can wash up when she gets in. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
mavvymoo :hello: Welcome back. After all your Kondoing you should find it much easier to get to the bits that need the fly treatment.
I've flown in my study for the first time since moving back in November. Uggggh.
Are you planning on flying in your cashmere?
CY Bat ready for splatting. Hope it is a good visit.
Off to the Cuppa Time at the Kirk Rooms this afternoon. I've baked 2 new cakes so I will be getting lots of 'feedback'. The older generation can be ruthless about their cakes - I have yet to dare to present them with a fruit cake as I'll be inundated with their recipes which will be 'moister', 'richer', 'fruitier'. :rotfl: I love the lot of them.
Will attack Thursday's list when I return. After I have negotiated a new buildings and contents insurance deal. I saved about £300 on our energy bills with USwitch last week. I'm on a roll! Also made £35 e-baying 3 items, and got 2 new clients yesterday. Money, money, money!
4 months yesterday as well. Life is looking up.

 Not a nice start to your day, Dusty  Comforting (((hugs))) to you.
Welcome back mavvymoo
Well done on your 4th mensiversary :T:T:T:T *and* two new clients, FBO :T:T Would love to try some of your cakes....
The migraine is holding itself at bay for the moment
Just updating today's plan:
- transfer cash - Can't do because the online banking for this particular bank only allows transfer between its own accounts ?!?!? so need to go and withdraw cash
- ask DH to deliver Old Wives programmes and a birthday card on his way into town - request made, envelopes ready, and he has now taken them out for delivery :A
- revise more files - all leader's notes and readings now done and printed
- laminate umpteen cards - just about to start
- finish this set of boxes - I can see light at the end of the tunnel
- WM x4 all done and hang out, and as I was hanging the last load out, I was visited by two very friendly (and almost fearless) young squirrels who tried to climb into the washing crate
- sort clothes etc for the weekend away
- cook [STRIKE]dhal soup for lunch [/STRIKE] - it was yummy - and gammon with butternut squash chips for tea
- choir tonight
Not bad!
Catch up again later x0
