  • Dusty sorry to read about the poor rabbit, not a nice thing to wake up to.
Reason nits are always more prevalent this time of year is I think that some parents forget to check the kiddies hair through the summer hols assuming they only get caught at school. So if a child has been breeding the all summer the second they get in class socialising with their friends they get passed around.
Had a rather scary discussion with DH at lunch time I think we have already used up the whole of half term and it's not even here yet!! We keep saying oh well do that at half term etc, so this morning I wrote a half term jobs list down and it's going to be very busy!! Think some jobs need to be pulled in before if possible. Also heard a rumour that means I may need to learn to manage my time even better and get fully back on the fly wagon as I think I may be a lot busier soon.
Not in tomorrow as its orthodontist all morning and work all afternoon,
Going to hang some washing out and make a start on the ironing now.

Hugs to all who need one, it's been a funny week.

They were neutered, and at the right time, sadly made no difference.

Feeble flapping going on here. For the second day in a row Tiny has been a horror. Screamed for literally an hour this afternoon for no apparent reason :( I am trying to keep on top of things but this week has been horrendous and it's getting me down.

I have made some damson gin and hope it will be ready for Christmas pressies. Still debating what to do with the hundred-weight of apples and the rest of the fruit from the orchard. Jam? Jelly? Freeze? Chutney? Pickles? Gah...no time for anything :wall:

    off to work now.

    merde!

(it's French this pm :rotfl: I PROMISE not to teach Y3 to swear in French - but I could - and that itself is a cheery and impish thought!- and I know more than that lol)

My mother taught me several versions of nursery rhymes that I happily sung at nursery, 'Starkle, starkle little twink, who the hell you are you think ...' etc. Didn't go down well, but how was I to know?
4 months yesterday as well. Life is looking up.

Brilliant achievement. Well done, and long may the good times continue.

Yup, me too. I realised after a while you probably were talking about rabbits, but there was a moment there ....

    I managed:
    • finish the fridges,
    • spot clean the carpets,
    [STRIKE]
    • finish washing the sitting room window frame
    • wash the kitchen floor again, this time getting into the hairy corners.
[/STRIKE]as well as making a flour free cake, a batch of Twink's ginger hobnobs for OH, zipped the stick cleaner around the middle layer floors and preped supper. Not much to show for the day, is it? Two more arrivals this evening, and then we're bursting at the seams, with N in my office and LA in OH's office for a couple of nights.
    Better is good enough.

    been to work

message from DD who has gone out but forgotten to take her washed-and-ironed uniform with her to drop back into the restaurant - would I take it? Well I am off to the theatre tomorrow night and Saturday will be packing/driving so had to pop tonight. So I decided to pop into Morries ...and got a chicken for £1.05. Well I got two and have taken one to mum and dad's; mine's roasting as I type. Bloke was just reducing them; woman before me took three then came back for more anyway! :rotfl:.

dizzy we have a small local brewery that has a 'cider day' around this time every year. If you have loads of surplus/windfall apples you take them down on the day and they put them in the press. When the cider is brewed, everyone that contributed apples gets a share. Have a look, there may be somewhere local to you that does a similar thing.

New arrivals have arrived. Haven't had a smile from either of them, they appear to be in shock at the thought of sharing the shower room with other lodgers and they have announced they need to do laundry. I fear this will be a tricky week.
