    3 loads dried outside

    House henried
    Been tip
    Sorted a drawer

    Furniture rearranged
A few days ago I knocked a dehumidifier off a table and the contents flew all over. An extension cable was ruined. Today I bought a new one only to discover the carpet seems too wet for what I spilled on it. I mopped up with a towel and have moved the big electrical dehumidifier to try to dry it. It is in the computer corner so I haven't been able to use that or the printer. I need to photocopy all ds1's important documents so am hoping it will be dry by the morning.

Pennies taken to be changed = £20 :)

Ds1 seems to be taking enough gadgets to open a curtsy/ cp world. I can't see how he is going to fit in studying. He seems to be planning to buy a tv and possibly a ps4. I'm such a cross patch I better go to bed.

I'm in for team splat the rat and withering vibes x
  • Hi all x

I actually managed to fly today as I had a day off.

    I ....
    Put all the ironing away
Tidied the floordrobe in my bedroom
    Tidied up DDs bedroom
S/S the scullery (floor still to do)
    LR tidied up

I'm having DGS tomorrow and he's staying overnight so tomorrow's jobs look like this....
    Toddler proof the LR
Move the dogs bowls from kitchen to hall
    Wash scullery floor
    Hoover everywhere
Do a proper clean of bathroom
    WM x ??

Will need to get a shake on first thing when I declutter everyone out to work/school.
    I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged

dizzy we have a small local brewery that has a 'cider day' around this time every year. If you have loads of surplus/windfall apples you take them down on the day and they put them in the press. When the cider is brewed, everyone that contributed apples gets a share. Have a look, there may be somewhere local to you that does a similar thing.

Thanks Biscuit - that's a great idea! Will check out the local breweries :)

WOKEN at 2.30am by Small's screaming  Apprently his duvet had fallen on the floor. To be fair, he was freezing cold, so we snuggled up on my side of the bed for an hour then I popped him back. Didn't sleep well after that.

GOT a hair appointment at midday, so can tick something off the list today. This morning I am blitzing the toy room...

Morning all  and here's a special one for you, CY :hello: - hope you're feeling OK today.

Pigpen, you should definitely start charging, even if it's only for the materials and cups of tea you drink while you're knitting. But if you advertise more widely, then fix your price in advance, otherwise people will take advantage of your generosity.

This list may help you, Dizzy. Also, various National Trust properties like this one have Apple Days or Orchard Days and some invite you to bring your apples along for juicing - you take the juice home, so need to take your own containers.

I have had a bad night and could not back to sleep after 5.00 am so have been laminating and cutting since 5.30. Some progress made, but not enough not to take the gear with me when we go away later. We shall be staying in a hotel for the weekend so I can get one with it at odd times, e.g. while DH is hogging the bathroom! I will get these boxes finished before Tuesday

    Plan for today
    - Finances - how much pocket money have I got to spend this weekend?
    - Shower
    - S&S bathroom
    - Breakfast
    - S&S kitchen
    - Pack
    - Quick tidy in LR and bedroom
    - Go
    - Enjoy :D

Hope everyone has a good day. (((Hugs))), spoons and sticks all round, as needed x
  • Morning all

Hope the hospital went OK CY
    Congratulations frizzle!
Good luck for bunny funeral dusty
Hope you had a good relaxing day bossy

Not the best start to my day as at some point overnight the hot water went off and only found out when the shower was freezing cold this morning. OH thinks it's a fuse rather than the boiler as the dishwasher wasn't working either (though all the other electricals seem to be OK) so his granddad is coming round tomorrow morning to look at it. Thankfully local gym does free 2 day passes so means I can have a shower tomorrow and Sunday and then use work shower next week if still ongoing.

Did most of the spare room on Monday after my parents went back up north so not much to do today - I might take the opportunity to catch up on stuff from earlier in the week. OH is out tonight (drinks with new work colleagues) so will try and get as much as I can done this evening before the rugby starts.

  • Well yesterday went okay. They have upped me to the top level of anti sickness drugs, and so far they are working a great. Had a discussion with the nurse and she fired off a load of questions and apparently I ticked all the boxes for being a high risk for chemo nausea ( under 55, female, light drinker, suffers from travel sickness and very sick when pregnant ). Pity it took so long to discover this.

So a friend may be coming round this morning for a natter and if I have the strength there is a function at school tonight. I have the offer of a lift and a quick visit and I really want to go. We shall see how I feel later.

Thanks for all your good wishes. Have a good day everyone.
