Ds1 came home from school yesterday in a good mood and was still in a good mood this morning:j He had a slight wobble when he spent time helping ds2 with something for school and was then too late to walk. I took them both in the car which given the pouring rain was probably a good idea.

I have spent the morning catching up on paperwork and filling in numerous forms, ds2 gave me a letter this morning in the car about the school's history trip to the battlefields. It is a very popular trip and they got the letter a week after the other classes. There are limited places and it is first come first served so I hope he gets a place as he won't be able to hand it in till tomorrow.

I now need to take the dog out - can't put it off much longer - it is still pouring with rain:(

    Pigpen - love the hat!

CY - hope things went as you wanted at the hospital.

    Morning all.

Is it really only Tuesday? It feels like Thursday to me :( Work took me the whole of yesterday due to the number of interruptions I was getting. Went out at 7pmish to put cards through to customers saying I was calling tonight with their orders, then carried on to Mr A, and it was light rain. When we got out of Mr A it was very heavy rain but I was so tired and fed up by this point we walked home in it anyway. Its only a 5 minute journey but we were soaked through so the heating went on, as did pj's then we had hot chocolate & pizza for tea :o Today we're both aching, full of cold and sore throat and struggling to wake up. DD has gone to school in her waterproof coat, with fingerless gloves, a travel mug of sugary coffee and throat lozenges as she feels so rough. I hope no-one crosses her today

I've already got a wash load on and will fling that in the drier to warm the house up, going to quickly flap round the house until 10am doing dailies. Then I need to get stuck in to todays work. I have 3 customers who are away so I didn't do their orders properly yesterday so they need doing, plus the 40+ books I need to put out to customers need sorting. Then I have another 50+ that I should be putting out to try and get new customers but I need to check my records before I do that. I can see me working tomorrow as well at this rate.

I hope you got the answers you needed yesterday CY.

Cushion sewing finished! OH was late back yesterday so I didn't make it to the button shop but I'm really chuffed with them - although I wouldn't want anyone else looking at them too closely. They've needed to be done for at least seven years, and they're not thing the only things that have required attention for that length of time, which is why I don't have a Toots List.

Masses of flying to catch up on:

    Muck out my office
    Turn it into accommodation room
    Clean shower room
Clean landing windows for secondary glazing
Get draught excluder curtain down from attic
    Turn superking around
    Turn double around
    Defrost kitchen fridge
    Wash the kitchen floor again
    Wipe out lodger's fridge

That's enough to be going on with, I think but it all has to be done by Thursday morning and some of it, by tonight.
    Better is good enough.

  • When I started chemotherapy we didn't know whether the lymph nodes were involved or not. After 3 cycles of chemo we now know that they have shrunk, which means they are involved.

The consultant ( yes I finally met him ) confirmed that surgery is not an option because of the location of the nodes. The plan is to continue with more chemo and then have a watch and wait approach - no treatment but regular scans. If the nodes swell again then more chemo. I feel it's a bit like the fairground game splat the rat.

I am honestly a bit relieved at not facing major surgery, but am having to come to terms with the fact that containment is the order of the day, the chance of a cure is very slim.

Hope everyone is well. I have managed the washing up and I made lunch for DD2 and I!

CY.. not impressed that the results were not what they should be.. naughty cells!!!! Hopefully the next batch of chemo will sort them out and you can get back to some semblance of normality.. muchos hugos xxxx

I am pretty much dead on my feet this evening.. 3 schools runs today and 2 yesterday is a bit more than I can handle.. I have however got 1kg of yarn to dye.. purples and greens next.. looking at neon dyes at the moment and trying to stay awake!

OH being sent to post ebay gubbins, 17 items gone! But my pile doesn't seem to be shrinking! I don't understand! I've sold £400 of stuff this month and you cannot tell.. really, it is crazy. Listed 5 balls of wool yesterday, excess from projects and a few more to go on shortly. I need to finish Squeaks hat tonight and then start DD2's tomorrow.. she needs to choose a pattern.

I have a house full of moaning minnies tonight!! Pixie, Dot, Squeak OH all moaning lol. OH seems to be loving it at college :D I'm REALLY pleased he is going but I am so incredibly and disgustingly tired.

CY hugs for you, hoping the reduction in size continues and that they remain splatted down.
The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair
  • CY hugs hope the nodes continue to shrink.

Back from hospital with mil, I have actually met an Honest consultant, he prodded and poked mils foot took her entire medical history and then said he did not know what had caused her problem. It seems that the nerve that runs from her ankle down to her toes in one foot doesn't work anymore. So we now have to wait for an nerve something or other test to map the nerves and see where it actually stops and why then she has to be fitted with a split to help hold her foot in the correct position for walking. Then we go back for results. We did get a blood test, but I'm sure that was purely so she felt like something was done today.
Took her home had a coffee with her and cleared a broken chest of drawers out for her. Bin bag full of stuff thrown, told her we will dismantle the broken drawers at the weekend ready for a tip run and one drawer of stuff that was really garage filler, I said DH would look through it and see what if anything needed keeping.
Befo work I managed to clear all the broken photo boxes so they can be broken up and binned a bag of rubbish photos got shredded and space created in the cupboard.

Going to go and see what I'm doing for tea now.
