I'm so glad someone has said they use Ocado. I don't have anyone to help with a giant Aldi shop (the checkout frenzy drives me mad) and I try and keep visits to a minimum, so I have all my heavy goods delivered by Ocado once a month. They price match Tesco and I buy other bits at Aldi. I choose free delivery slots and I'm sure that the reduction in stress must be worth it!
Two no spend days out of five so far, I was going to fill up with petrol and get some top up shopping today, but I'm taking a chance on my petrol gauge until tomorrow, when my friends and I are having a "what's the most fun you can have in a pub for £2" night out , thus squeezing in a no spend today!3-6 month EF Challenge Member #19: £3590/£6000.[/B] Craft destash from 22.5.22: 46/200. I agree 100%, especially re: Aldi checkout frenzy. I love Aldi but my local shop is nuts. Every time I go there I always witness a full on screaming match at the checkouts, it's terrifying!
I actually did a side by side basket comparison with Ocado/Tesco and my shop was £12 cheaper with Ocado. As long as you're savvy with what you're buying you can get some real bargains. I shop with them every 2 weeks or so, free delivery and I stock my freezer full of any meats that they have good offers on. I don't think I actually buy anything from Ocado at full price.0 -
Daughter has just informed me she is baking tomorrow, meaning I'm gonna have to go BACK to the shop! Ggrrr!

Can I join again for October please. Even though I was under budget for September, I am going to leave my total at £200. I have DS home for one weekend and DD,DS and their other halves for another so will need to get extras in. I have to say, Im finding this a useful tool in keeping a tally on my spending, I dont want to blow the budget so am shopping much more carefully. My first shop in October included few bits for my mum and extras to make christmas cake and still only came to £31. I really plan to stick to budget and all other days so far have been NSD.Thoughts to all. Mrs D.

5 days into the month and I am a little over budget for where I should be . Spends of £68.88 so far. I do have enough in for a few days so hopefully will have a couple of NSDs to catch up with budgetDebt free as of 29.10.2020 🎉😁

I had to buy some milk this evening, for £3 in total.
For the first time in ages I went in, bought what I actually needed and left again without spending money on unplanned, but tempting, stuff. I was actually surprised that I managed to do this!
I have loads of food in, and I really won't need much this week, but I am tempted to make use of the L1dl discount on offer up here in Scotland just now. I could get £8 off a £40 shop, which would be very nice, but I suppose I could stock up for the month. I could do with buying soap powder and softener, so I may use it to get that, and lots of storecupboard stuff. I've never had L1dl soap powder though, and slightly dubious. Oh well, I have until Wednesday to decide!
I hope the week has gotten off to a lovely start for everyone!2025 goals
