I use Pears soap, and when a bar has got to that small stage, press it in the dimple of a new bar after a shower. By next day its stuck firm so no wastage! For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0 -
Shower gel and liquid handwash all the time.0

I need to make some more soap.. I've got a bar or two left, but I may have to resort to buying shower gel while the next lot of soap 'cures' for a few weeks.0

Imperial Leather soap that lasts ages & doesn't irritate my dry skin. Also don't like all these plastic bottles - wasteful.
If out and about using those anti-bacterial hand washes in public loos the skin on my hands crack really badly.0 -
I use soap because it is easier to find with no SLSs in. Although it does get harder every year, 10 years ago, 90% of lush soaps had no SLSs, now its only about 20% and that amounts to about 2 in our local shop.0

Have you seen the magnetic soap holders? you push a metal disc with teeth into the soap bar and then attach an arm with a magnet to the wall. They were all the rage when i was a kiddie. Recently found them again and they stop the hand soap going slimey in a dish.
I use showergel in shower as its easier for me and carers to handle and a bar of soap at the sink. Kitchen has liquid soap as there was no where to fix above magnetic holder and i kept knocking soap dish on floor.0
