Soap for me every time. Laid in a huge stock of Roger and Gallet Bath Soap when they started to produce mostly liquid soap. The wrappers are used to perfume drawers, the boxes are converted in to gift boxes for presents and the soap lasts ages. Boil the ends of the bars down to make washing gel for tights etc. Shower gel is expensive and full of nasty chemicals - soap is much better value!!0

I still use soap and love it .I cant stand all those plastic dispensers by every sink or shower gels. I buy 4 white bars for approx a pound which are either baby soap or mild smelling. and also use to get marks out of clothes and run it along grubby collars or cuffs of shirts . The bars last for months and cant believe why people want to pay shed loads out for liquid stuff. Dispensers can also be messy . I use soap on my face always have done and it seems to be keeping the wrinkles away0

Take care with whatever one is used as many/most contain a substance called MI [methylisothiazolinone] which can cause dermatitis and other skiin rashes. Cracking skin around the fingers and thumbs is a common complaint.0

My OH always uses soap in the shower as he dislikes the texture of shower gel. I like shower gel in the shower but prefer soap for anything else. We discovered Nesti Dante soap on a visit to Italy and now buy it online. It's gorgeous! Anyone else use it?0

I had this problem as a child. The only soaps I could use were Dove and Fairy. Fairy was horrible and would leave me with really dry skin.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I only use soap in the shower. My doctor said it was so much better than gel, which dries the skin and gives me an itch. Which I don't like at all. No GEL for me.0
