Deadline from Debt collectors approaching

night night, any ideas would be appreciated to prepare defence properly...0

So my last question before I will see what happens next is, not to contact anybody, legal aid or so, just wait and then come back here if they decide from PPS they want to put it to court...
Many thanks,
Pavol0 -
Pretty much; at this stage you can't do anything. If it does go to court, then you can come back for advice, but you don't need to worry about it until then.
Ignore anything that comes from a debt collector though, it's all bluster.0 -
Hello everyone, just quick update... I am not going to reply as advised on this forum and I wrote them previously that I feel it as harassment to receive these letters, but another one from DRP Letter before referral for legal action. I am writing to you personally because I have been instructed by PPS Ltd to obtain immediate settlement of the outstanding balance of £160.
Despite previous requests for payment you have either failed to respond ( I sent them E-mail so it is lie) to our letters or to settle the debt. I now advise you that unless full payment is received within next 14 days I am instructed to report back to PPS Ltd with a recommendation to refer your case to our client's solicitor, to consider commencing court proceedings against you.
Should PPS Ltd issue proceedings against you and a judgement is awarded in their favour, it may affect your ability to obtain credit in the future.
To close this matter and make payment, visit http://www.debtrecoveryplus.co.uk/pay/.
Alternately, contact our office on XY to discuss payment arrangements.
Yours sincerely,
D.T?

Well so third letter despite me writing them after first I feel harassed as I tried to come to reasonable conclusion with PPS by paying them £10 for 8 minutes overstay after I purchased another ticket which I can prove. I bit greedy, but let's admit, I owe them for 8 minutes if they do not have to provide any courtesy time by law because of mitigating factor, but a little bit of human attitude would help their reputation, because I wanted to pay something, they are greedy, so not my fault.0 -
Any comments are appreciated, I was considering to settle debt by sending £30 cheque to PPS, but you advised to wait... They included some costs because of my appeal to Popla, then I owe them for 8 Minutes few cents, so £30 would be ok, but I am not going to pay this and wait what is going to happen next as per your advice. As mentioned mitigating factors, my illness and being not fit to drive been not considered, I bought another ticket for £1, so it should be taken into consideration in democratic country like UK is I believe. Justice should win, so I hope the final sum will be maximum £60 or lower... Take care......:-)0

Ignore anything and everything DRP send to you. Do not contact them ever again. Every time you contact them they will ask for more money. Stop this by not replying to them!I married my cousin. Do not pay them anything.
Just keep waiting and let us know if you get real court papers. Anything else can be ignored.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
This thread has 59 posts. None of these, (apart from yours) suggests paying them a penny, what part of this advice do you not understand? You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Understand, just a bit worried because of court threatening...Thank you for understanding. I would not pay to debt collection company, was considering to PPS by cheque directly to close the matter certain amount, but am not going to, the thing with court is a real thing and I overstayed 8 minutes, regardless for a reason, so I owe them few pence at the end of the day if there is no reasonable time legalised if I would be owner of property and somebody would contact me, I would cancel, but I cannot contact them, because it has changed owners. I am not paying, just providing as much info as possible in this stage.
I was following advice on this forum with Popla appeal and it was declined, no mitigating factors mentioned at a time...0 -

That's the whole point of their letters - to scare you into paying.
DRP can't do anything. The original PPC can start court action if they want, but not the debt collector. Any response will result in even more letters. You are not dealing with a reasonable company.0
