I miscounted (or I am just trying to knock a couple of years off my age)...it's 34 years.

As I am obsessive about getting figures right I am going to opt for me being vain and knocking a couple of years off :rotfl:
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
  • Hahahaha! Nothing wrong with that, Sue! I actually thought it was me and I read it wrong!

I can't even get a crappy call centre job lol.

Applied for one yesterday, spoke to agency, told OH who was oh that's good we need money, sometimes you have to do things you don't like (cheeky get)
It's suppose to strt Monday, they were going to get me in to see them today and nothing (they said they were concerned it was too big a step down)

It is lovely, JM! What a friendly sloth! It reminds me that if my ESA turns out fine my treat is going to be another visit to the rainforest centre to see their sloth again and I want to meet their baby armadillo! Harry was abandoned by his mummy so hand-reared and cannot be released so they look after him now. You can hand feed him and he isn't scared of people at all. I so want to do that.

Aw! I want an elephant too! They may get back to you later Melly, sometimes they take their time. Although being overqualified can cause problems. My teacher friend found it very hard to get a job as an english teacher after giving up being a headteacher, everyone said it wouldn't suit him. All the poor man wanted was an easier life!

I had that as well melly. People asking me if I thought a job was beneath me, and me saying no, it's a job, that's all I want right now.

Never got an interview for those ones though - they think you'll up sticks when something better comes along, and in my case they were probably right.

If it's causing any issues (bit of a guess??) I will cease doing Weigh in Wednesday. :)

Nice for Mr HL to get back in touch Tea! Block him! :p Definitely pester PB about FOH's stuff too.

Melly - it's annoying but I can kind of understand why companies don't hire people they feel are 'above' the work. After all, as soon as you got an offer for a job that you actually want, you'd be off so they'd have to start the recruitment process all over again. Not good for people in your position, but understandable. :(

Hahahahaha! WaS hasn't been very good at getting up and showering and dressing without a carer to force her into it. It is all too easy to have a quick wash and stay in pj's all day. So the first thing on my rota everyday is get up and shower and put proper clothes on! After this weekend I am advancing into actually getting myself breakfast which is something else I am failing at without a carer. I am currently living off two meals a day which isn't good because I meant to have food with my morning medication.

Actually now I think about it the above is sometimes a lie. There are days of just one massive evening meal and nothing else for the next 24 hours. This needs to be changed!
