Could have been awkward calley! I need to get rid of a bed, and will be spending a night in the other one soon to work out which mattress to keep :D

Was doing ok for the last day then bam, out of nowhere I am absolutely desperate to call FOH. I hate this, I hate that I get a good few hours where I can totally see the sense in making a complete break but then that just goes again and I'm back to thinking up ideas of how I can get in touch with him without the police knowing. Don't worry, I can't actually think of any!

Have even re-read the list of reasons not to ever contact him again and it's not helping.

Just ask yourself one question. Do you want to harm him, give him false hope, make sure he does not get any help and mess with his head - and with yours?

If the answer to all of that is "Yes" which I doubt then contact him.

Sorry to be so blunt but we can't see you heading for the edge of a cliff and not say something.

It's not blunt at all (well it is, but welcome blunt, if that makes sense :)). Believe me, part of me is screaming at the rest of me not to be such a !!!!!!! tool. I suppose the main problem is I don't know if it would be false hope.... for all I can completely see the reasons we should never even speak again, I can't help thinking we'll end up back together at some point.

ETA: sometimes, I really hate myself.

Listen to the screaming part of you!!!

Every time you remember something nice about him, and think that it'd be good if you could end up together, remind yourself of three hideous things he did. I know it's great to be able to look back on things fondly but I don't think that's going to help you at the moment and I'm sure you have enough things to choose from to manage a 3 to 1 ratio of bad to good...

I never really get jetlag on the way out, apart from waking up at about 5am (Vegas time), decide to hit the shops, walk all the way down and then realise they don't open until 10am! But coming back it nearly always hits me hard (although it didn't really this time so much) and once it took me over a week to get over it!

What's the time difference between SL and here Pyxis?

It's 5.5 hours difference, but the flight took 11.5 hours.

I thought it was supposed to be worse going one way, but I can't remember which way that is, east or west!
I felt rather rough on the first two days there, but the worst thing was that I didn't want to wake up as early as I usually do, so it was three days before I got my unpacking really sorted!

On the return journey, I thought I'd got away with it, but looks like I haven't! :D
An interesting feature is that yesterday and today I've felt really down. Probably post-holiday blues, but I don't usually feel quite this bad after a European holiday! Is feeling down a symptom of jetlag?

    Tea, a couple of suggestions:-

    1) Delete his number(s) from your phones and if you have them written anywhere, erase them. If you have his address, erase that too. Then you can't do anything impetuous. If you have his mum's numbers and address, delete/erase those too.

    2) get a sheet of A3 and write on it in large red letters the things that really hurt you. Then stick it up somewhere prominent.

The one thing that sticks in my mind is what happened when you had the miscarriage. That is unforgivable. Put that at the top of the list.

I have got antibiotics now due to tonsilitis.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

I think it could be. I always feel down when I come back off a holiday. It's either because you are so damn tired, or because you've been planning it, researching it, looking forward to it for months before hand, and then it's all over with. Probably a combination of the two.

An ex colleague of mind used to literally book the next holiday the day she got back off one. She always had to have a holiday on the go. At one point she even considered becoming a travel agent!

    But I did that! :D

I think it's partly because I'm so damn sick of this house being in such a mess, and me being so frightened to tackle the paperwork. I don't understand why I'm like this.
Well, I partly do, because it has an awful lot to do with the ghastly family stuff. :(:(:(
I did managed to sort through a couple of kitchen cupboards this morning, and am chucking out a few things, but the paperwork side of things keeps getting shelved. :(

    Edit. Just found this.....

"Besides fatigue and insomnia, a jet lag sufferer may experience a number of physical and emotional symptoms, including anxiety, constipation, diarrhea, confusion, dehydration, headache, irritability, nausea, difficulty concentrating, sweating, coordination problems, dizziness, and even memory loss."
