Had some sleep and will go back to bed as soon as I have finished my vit C tablet/water. I suddenly remembered that I had those 1000mg tablets so will see if that makes any difference.

I am praying that littlewing doesn't get it as she has some birthday parties to go to at the weekend which she has been looking forward to for ages.

Were any of us asleep at the right time last night? I gave up about 1.30am and started planning how to decorate my bedroom on pinterest.

    Morning All,
I was a little bit later than I intended to get to sleep but am happy to say that, for me, I actually had a pretty good night's sleep.

Sorry for the rest of you having rubbish nights, I hope you have some extra strong coffee to hand and that people around you keep the irritations to a minimum.

    .

Me too. Didn't get to bed until 12.30, but fairly much dropped straight off, but then didn't want to get up, was too cosy!

Sorry to those who didn't have a decent nights sleep :( It's horrible when you can't drop off.

Still grumpy. Have run out of teabags.
Pyxis, I generally find it takes me a while for the body clock to reacclimatise and get back into not being awake at stupid o'clock however much I follow the tips for making it easier. The return trip always seems harder than the one out, when heading in that direction.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • I never really get jetlag on the way out, apart from waking up at about 5am (Vegas time), decide to hit the shops, walk all the way down and then realise they don't open until 10am! But coming back it nearly always hits me hard (although it didn't really this time so much) and once it took me over a week to get over it!

What's the time difference between SL and here Pyxis?

I think excitement plays a part too, as well as biology. You keep going fine on the way there as there's exciting, interesting things to see and do. Coming back home to washing and work is just not as interesting!

I remember coming back from Canada - my Dad picked us up at the airport and we called into Tesco on the way home. I fell asleep pushing the trolley :rotfl:.

Hope he doesn't come back in the middle of the night! That would be a shock for both of you!

He did at about 2.30am!!! Lucky enough I was still awake and quickly vacated his bed
