She really was just being unhelpful. Every other call has resulted in them coming round or making an appointment for the following day. My parents reported the calls they got on sat and someone came to take statements the next morning. So far between myself and family we've seen at least 4 different officers.
The whole thing comes under domestic violence so they need to risk assess after each incident and record it. At the very least I should get an incident number.
Am so !!!!ed off with today, it's been crappy since I got out of bed.0 -
I went to my local police station a while back to ask for a leaflet about their complaints procedure. Person on desk told me they didn't have one as people come in and speak to someone in the station about their complaint. When I pointed out that a) people may not be able to physically get to the station and b) if their complaint is about the local station they might prefer someone from outside it to investigate, she scratched her head, looked baffled and said she couldn't help.
Found it on the website in the end, but rather worrying that the front line customer facing roles have absolutely no idea what they're talking about.
ETA - melly, did they not say anything at all about the floating support worker and help for OH?All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Tea call back and check it's been logged and ask for the crime number

Seeing a gp weekly sounds very reasonable except that when I was on medication to try and help me lose weight, I found trying to get to see them once a month was difficult on a practical basis. You think it is a 10 min appt - that doesn't sound like much, but it is surprising how much time it takes to get them, rearrange work hours, stop in the waiting room etc etc.
That said, melly, you really are not well at all. We want to love you better, but we can't. Would it be so bad to tell someone why you control your eating? To get you some help with processing what happened to you as a child. We so want you and your OH to be happy and healthy.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Not on first meeting ww when they're not a psychologist they assess is all.
Specially not when they push
If I'm working it will be hard is all us too much looking at me
Eta nope elsien I told her quite clearly that this is stress, it's triggered by stress, want to help do what you said we can work on making me better then0 -
Melly maybe they were tick box questions she has to ask everyone?
I know in my job when I assess people I have to ask a lot of questions that really aren't relevant to some people, but unless I input their answers into the computer system it won't let me progress any further to the actually helpful stuff.
We also have to have a measure of how well someine is progressing with the support we give, which again isn't relevant to some people. Maybe that is what the weigh thing is here?
It does sound like maybe they aren't the right service for you though.0 -
The food ones I could deal with welly
The asking g me to tell he why 4 times when I'd said no, not so much.
They called.while I was asleep so that's another thing for tomorrow0 -
It is possible Melly that they were just doing a generalised assessment, they may tailor it to your needs afterwards. My new assessments often seem unhelpful because they are basically working through a checklist that they use with everyone, then once they have the details I am referred to someone who looks at my individual needs and works with me. I have had so many that I can almost quote what they will ask me now and a lot of it either doesn't apply to me or is something I wouldn't consider. They just have to go through the same questions for everyone at first.
My weight is kept on record but I have had no idea what it is for over 10 years. My GP knows it is best that I don't know and I close my eyes everytime I am weighed and he is fine with that. They likely will take your needs into account when it is referred to an individual who will work with you, at this stage it is just general questions that they use with anyone.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

MELLY - Sorry you feel so bad at the moment . Sadly eating disorders are so complex it is necessary for these questions to be asked . To get the right support you need to go through the horrible stuff . Very hard as it is so invasive and challenging to deal with .
Did they actually deal at all with the other problem of support for oh ?
