Got home to a letter from FOHs mum....I'll summarise:
    - the police told him he could contact my parents
    - he's contacting a solicitor
    - I've made him very ill
    - he's done nothing wrong
    - I'm a heartless !!!!!.

So once I get back from brownies it's yet another call to the police. Really don't think I can take much more of this.

I'm fuming on your behalf tea  How dare she? Is she deluded or what? Has she always been of he impression that her precious son can so no wrong?

He can contact a solicitor all he wants, it won't get him anywhere, all it'll get him is an empty bank account. But hey ho, if he thinks he's gonna get somewhere, that's his own stupid fault.

Very strange that the police said they were going round to arrest him, and then nothing happened. What on earth are they playing at too?
  • Sorry to hear about the car WaS :( Hopefully you're able to pick up a cheap second hand one that will at least put you on for a while. We did that with the 4x4. Paid about £700, planned to upgrade it, but haven't bothered as it's perfectly adequate and we love it! Hope you can find something just as good.

The last time I got a taxi I had a panic attack in the back and the driver wasn't happy at all. I managed to convince myself that the driver was possessed and was going to kill us. I know how ridiculous that is but it's how much of a state I get myself into. I also have thoughts that the driver might drive into a wall on purpose, that he will fall asleep at the wheel or that he might kidnap us. None of the thoughts make sense but I just totally lose all rationality and then I am possibly a threat to the drivers myself, I honestly don't trust myself to not leap from a moving car when I am in that state. Nevermind the fact they can see me in the mirror so I sit hidden under a blanket which understandably freaks the drivers out. I cannot use taxi's, I just can't. We have to have a car. Argh, panic.

I feel like this is my fault. When I was awarded DLA my social worker told me to appeal it because my care needs are much higher than they gave me the money for and the whole idea of it is for people who need constant care. I was too scared to question it in case they took it away entirely. If I was on higher rates we could afford to save for a car and I could afford a carer more often to help with physio. I am just too scared to try for it.

WAS - I would not normally suggest this but is there any flexability at all in your budget so you could use the settlement as a deposit on a decent used car with afffordable repayments ?

So.....i've put on 2lbs :( and am feeling slightly crap about it, but i found a pic of me 5 years ago and compared it to now and don't feel quite as bad. I have lost some weight over the years. Hopefully in another year or two the after photo will become the before photo.

  • That's amazing, MU! You look so different, well done! I hope that you are really proud of yourself I am proud of you! I loveeeeeee your hair!

Definitely report this to police baby, tea. FOH is clearly lying to his mum, that's obvious. What a complete pain in the posterior he is. You don't deserve this any of it.

I have thought of that, polly. Ironically my credit score is excellent and I have no debt so I probably could get a car loan very easily. This would be fine if it wasn't for the fact that my ESA is up for review and I have no idea if I will be accepted next time. This has happened at totally the wrong time.

WaS do you qualify for a motability car? If not, definitely apply for the higher rate. They can only say no and they won't take any money away - they wouldn't dare with bubbly bulldozer around. And you would benefit from more care.

Tea - Let me get this straight. FOH has openly admitted knowing what you're up to. He has followed you in the car and scared you. He has tried to give unwanted gifts and sent you numerous harrassy texts, emails and letters, he has tried to contact you through multiple profiles on online dating, you've had to change the locks, he has harassed your friends, family and neighbours, he has been spoken to by the police on more than one occasion and maybe arrested and refused to back off, he is possibly following you and his mother is also harassing you. And you're the bad one? Unbelievable. Please don't feel bad and contact him because he'll definitely feel like his persistence is paying off. You do need to tell the police about this latest development too. Hugs.

Melly - you are stronger than all this. You will prevail!

I forgot to weigh in today. Also had chips for lunch. This weight loss thing isn't going very well.

  • You look really good, MU! You are lovely and curvy in all the right places!

This is where the DLA problem comes up, code. I was awarded mid rate care and low rate mobility so I am not entitled to a car. My social worker told me to appeal it because I should be on high mobility because I really cannot get anywhere without a car and high rate care because I need night time care as well. I was so grateful to be given anything that I didn't want to rock the boat so let it go.
