Hey Team WaS. Have spent most of today on the phone having discovered a dodgy transaction on my bank account. Bank were less than helpful so now I have to speak to the place the transaction was made before they'll cancel my card. In the meantime the fraudsters are probably merrily emptying my bank account.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

All I can do is drop in quickly and give really heartfelt hugs and squishes to all those who are having problems
Hope all gets resolved really quickly for all of you.
I am reading, but submerged in work so can't respond properly! xxxxxxxxxxxxEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Probably not relevant now Melly if you have the insurance, but if you get such again could you call your interview place and see if they have anyone who could car share with you for the interview? You might even get bonus points for being eco friendly!
Little Sod has wind. I feel sick.
Escapette is fine thanks Birdie. We have a few problems at the moment but are working through them. Skills-wise she has mastered blowing raspberries. A very useful life skill!
Called the dentist, but have to actually go down to register which is a pain. Tried ringing the doctors but can't get through0 -
Blowing raspberries will always be useful0

Hope you are hanging in there, Melly.
Eeeeep! I hope the bank are keeping an eye on your account, code!
Don't work too hard, JM!
Hahahaha! Well done, Escapette!

That reminds me of the hire car I had when mine was being repaired. I went to pick it up from their office as it was just round the corner from where I worked - didn't realise it had been left in gear and v nearly drove it into the building :rotfl:. I'm sure WaSP is far more capable than me of looking after things!0

Hope you've managed to sort out your bank account code? We've had these scammers try their luck a few times, and luckily Barclays have been straight onto it and phoned us to let us know before we'd even realised. Sorry your bank hasn't been very helpful.
Wonder how Pyxis is getting on?0 -
Didn't realise it was Sri Lanka that pyxis is off to...my boss is flying there this evening, from Heathrow! Am now slightly concerned that pyxis is my boss :rotfl:
Perhaps my secret is out! :rotfl:
If your boss comes back singing songs, then it is me!
So, pull your socks up!
Phew! Shatteroonie!
Is it Monday? I'm confused. In any event, it's 9.55 PM, and I'm in bed, shattered!
I have four pages of thread to read, too.
This is a quickie update. The flight was fine. I got a shock when I saw my seat on the plane, because it was like a little pod! A pod with a seat which, at the touch of button, would go completely flat, or any combination of backrest/footrest position. My own TV thing, my own little shelves, two cushions and blanket, and washbag with goodies, glass of champagne on arrival at my seat , and food in china crockery etc.
What a shame I'm coming back economy!
Mind you, it was still hard to sleep, so I was still shattered!
The first day was a bit of a blur, as we were just one night in a stopover hotel. My room had a bathroom that was massive! And had a garden in it! Not joking! It was open to the sky in two places too!
Today we went to. The Golden Temple, which is formed from natural caves right up high on a hill. They've built a giant golden Buddha outside it.
The hotel I'm in now is a resort near the Sigiriya rock fortress, which you can see from the terrace. It has an infinity pool and is very modern rooms are in very modern 'chalets' and is very spacious, with modern bathroom and shower.
Luckily everywhere is air-conditioned, as it is hot , but also very humid. Tomorrow is the climb up the Sigiriya rock, and I'm not sure I can manage the 1100 steps, as I've become very unfit over the last four months, and one knee is a bit iffy. The 350steps today was a problem!
We did some singing today, which was nice!
Anyway, must get to sleep and rest my legs!
I hope everyone is ok.....am too tired to read the thread tonight, but will try to catch up tomorrow!

Pyxis! We miss you! Have yo seen elephants?! This is the most important question!
I do envy your posh travel, that sounds so luxurious. Be careful if you go on that long walk tomorrow, take it slowly! Don't hurt your knees for the rest of your holiday!
Hopefully you will sleep well tonight and feel full of energy tomorrow, I am very curious about your first hotel room layout, I want a garden in my bedroom!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I something totally different from car and ESA form news I am still working on my sleep pattern with my lovely professor. I am due to see him on Thursday for the first time, wish me luck!
We have been working on my sleepwalking, sleep-talking, sleep-screaming, sleep-confusion and the sudden loud bangs I hear (which are apparently called brain explosions!) when I am falling asleep. All of these symptoms fall under a label of Parasomnia. Surprisingly for me it is not related to mental illness (I expect everything to be related to that), but is seen more frequently in people with PTSD. I also told him how I feel the bed violently shake when I am half asleep and said it was likely an hallucination, apparently that is Parasomnia, too! There is medication that can help but first we are going to try some behavioural approaches which we will discuss on Thursday.
It is good to have something positive going on rather than worry and panic, if everything else fails my sleep will be improved.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
