I'm not excusing his behaviour, because it's not fair to take it out on you, but my OH is often like that and, as much as I often forget it and get humpy cos he's snapped at me, it's coming from a place of love and concern.
I'll unload a problem on him, just wanting a pat on the shoulder and a "there, there dear" after I've had a vent, but he feels that it's something which he has to fix and ends up getting frustrated that he can't and then takes that out on me.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
Really interesting link Melly, thanks for sharing and for opening up more and more.
WW, I'm a Barbie lover and always have been. I like the idea of the different body shapes but I can't help but think how annoying it would have been for me as a little girl having all of those different shapes to dress, they can't share clothes! As it is, I have a box of Collectable Barbies and they have differing body shapes, from the 90's normal body, the vintage body (smaller all over) and the modern body (a 'proper' -albeit skinny- body without a pivoting waist and wider hips) so certain dolls can't wear certain clothes. I guess it's a reflection of life but I wonder if it'll stress little girls out when the curvy dolls have nothing to wear because their existing clothes are too small for them?! Overthinking???Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
The wind is absolutely howling up here this morning  Got to take my Mam for her x-ray results. Fingers crossed it's ok and it was just hurting because she was over compensating because of her foot.
Big hugs (((((Melly))))) Hope today is an easier one for you.0 -
I could never get the clothes on a Barbie (or Sindy, which I much preferred)! Too fiddly
Mine would end up wrapped in bits of fabric and small pieces of knitting I did for them. I always preferred making the clothes
Best of all was looking after my tiny tears though - oh how I loved those babies
ETA: it is so windy georgie! Found driving here really hard work this morning as the car had a mind of its own. Hope your mum gets on ok x.0 -

My ESA form is here. I could write a mini novel about how that makes me feel but I will just say that I am determined not to end in hospital as a result this time. Panicked doesn't even come close.

Thanks tea. It's so hard sometimes driving in strong wind. Take care. Same to anyone else who has to go out in it too.
My tiny tears was broke from the start, she didn't wee.I was more a Sindy fan too! I do have some collectible barbies, I wish I had somewhere to display them instead of them being in my Mam's garage.

I was never allowed to make mine wee as my sister once decided to give hers actual milk to drink - it did not end well! All dolls had to be fully-dry from then on :rotfl:.0

Oh I loved my Tiny Tears!
I loved dressing my Barbie dolls. I had a massive box full of clothes and accessories! I have a couple of posh ones still on display and was moving stuff around the other night and had a nice 20 minutes sifting through tiny clothes and redressing my dollies. The collectable doll clothes are even more fiddly, yet impressive, than regular ones. Teeny tiny zips and snaps!
Good luck with the ESA form WaS! Take it slowly, do it in small steps and when you feel yourself struggling, take a break from it and put it in the freezer!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. WaS!! So lovely to hear from you!
Sorry that the forms are freaking you out, is there anything we can do to help - other than stock the fort with biscuits and hugs of course?!
I still have my TT too! I had two, a blonde and a brunette. The brunette one was a limited edition when I was about 3 or 4. My poor parents spent the best part of 6 months trying to track one down as I was obsessed (this was early 80s, so well before the internet!) Apparently all I talked about for months was how much I wanted a dark-haired tiny tears! I can still remember that as the most exciting Christmas ever. If I'm ever in a "best gift" conversation the first thing that springs to mind is my dark-haired tiny tears
I had a double buggy for them and used to insist on taking them everywhere :rotfl:. Spent many a happy hour putting their little jimjams on and wrapping them up in bed.0
