He gets panicky then OCD says you need to do this the this then this and everyone will be ok and no one will leave
He's also forgetting what he's doing, not retaining information at all (it's gone after 5 mins) and basically driving me insane
I do understand about the OCD. its horrible and I hate it when people say they are OCD what they mean is that like to be very tidy or clean a lot.
Real OCD means you can't go anywhere or do anything as the rituals take up all of your time. You get scared if you don't x and y something really bad will happen.
I use to take a long time to get out the door due to checking and re-checking cooker, sockets etc. And even if I knew it was off I would sit and worry for a good hour after leaving. Some times I even come back to check even if made me late. So having full blown OCD is very hard work and exhausting both physically and mentally.
Thats a shame he is so flappy.
Remember though no matter how much you care for and love him these are his issues and you can't solve it with the best will in the world. You can be there and support him and that is that.
You are number ONE your list ok?
Think you need some more hugs

Its just annoying. Every so often I develop symptoms that could be something serious and have doctors worried. So they do all these tests which are always, always negative. I'm pretty sure they think I'm at it and that if something was ever to be wrong, they wont believe me because of my stupid body.
Georgie, pretty sure most men when confronted with a problem look for the solution (car broken=take to garage, missus broken= send to doctor), whereas women are generally conditioned to comfort and do the emotional thing. You just have a very practical, solution oriented one. But he is right. You should go to the doctor.
Calley - I hate that 'ooh I'm a bit OCD' thing. No. No you're not. Stop turning a serious MH condition into being an asshat. Also sorry about the guy.
Melly - well done on scoring the chilli ingredients.
Tea - Any future nicknameable men on the horizon?
Can I change my weigh in result to today please? I am 3lbs lighter.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

Code, better to be safe than sorry.
Agree about men, they think when we tell them something we want to them to fix it. Not just listen to us moan about it. To them if you moan about your job the obvious answer is to change jobs. When all we wanted to do was get it off our chest LOL!!!
Ah well better I find out now what a knob he was then months down the line. Expect his gf/wife found out LOL!!!!
Well done about the weight loss. Sadly turned to food again today.

I know that, I knew that before I mentioned it to him. Sometimes you just want to share something that is worrying you with your OH. I wasn't asking for his advice, rather just sharing it with him like couples should be able to do without getting their heads bit off. He asked me what's wrong and why I was quiet and so I told him.
Glad your blood test results came back ok and show nothing worrying. Don't worry about if they'll think you're crying wolf, the doctor must have been quite concerned to send you to the hospital. Not a very fun way to spend your afternoon though, but better to be safe than sorry.
I've never been officially diagnosed as having OCD, but I do have certain rituals, and thoughts that something bad will happen if I don't say or do a certain thing. It stepped up quite considerably when my Dad was ill, and then for quite a while afterwards it increased in my cleaning of the house. It's both mentally and physically tiring.0 -
Police baby has now got statements from my parents and sister (and another one from me, as making statements is now a hobby of mine). He's going to try to speak to FOH this evening and will likely arrest him.
I'm not sure I've ever had such mixed feelings about one thing.0 -

tea,
You lived with him, of course you will have mixed feelings.
It's his behaviour that is unacceptable and frightening, not him.
Got to go out, and haven't read this yet

It's only natural tea, you're bound to be at odds with your feelings. You were with him for many years, and whilst he didn't treat you right, he never exhibited behaviour like what he is now, and that must be confusing and upsetting for you.
Did you mention about FOH's stuff to police baby?0 -
No, annoyingly I thought about the stuff the second he drove off0
