Melly,
Please go and get some rest. I do understand that when you have a untidy/dirty house it can cause mental anguish and upset.
It makes you feel lazy and unworthy, been there and done it with the maggot issue in last summer.
But you need to rest both physically and mentally.
Do you have a friend or family member that could come and give you some help tidying up or cleaning. I know that you may feel uncomfortable with that.
Please take care of yourself. If you don't you know as well as I do that you may well have a breakdown and then you are no good to anyone including yourself.
Massive hugs and squishes and get in the fort in double quick time.
Yours

Sometimes I see the donation box at the supermarket filled with value stuff and I think, maybe the poor recipient of this, struggling to feed their family deserves a little treat so I put something nice in there, like chocolate or nice shower gel or toothpaste or some spices from the world food bit cause with the right spices, you can make anything! If this is the type of person who is benefitting then I'm not doing it anymore.
People like that take from the genuinely needy and make life harder for them. It really grinds my gears.
I've got to admit, I'm the same now a days. I think I'm taking after my Mam in her way of thinking, although not quite as harsh as her, as I do believe that for some desperate folk they are a life line.
My Mam's feelings on the matter is that here shouldn't be a need for them. If people budgeted correctly and didn't go out buying stuff they just don't need, and just shopped sensibly and bought good wholesome food, then they should be able to manage. Her way of thinking like this is because when she was little they just had my Grandas wage (he was a builder) to feed a family of 6. They ate well, my nana was an excellent cook who made homely filling meals out of very little, and, they still had treats.
She refuses to put in them, and goes as far as telling the collectors why. Whilst I agree with her, I do walk on ahead and am like0 -
I can totally understand the thought process, I can't relax if I haven't cleaned the house. So maybe it will help your mood to clean up a bit - but for that to work you're going to need a bit of fuel to keep you going.
If you can't face eating anything (and it's understandable if you can't), then you probably won't have the energy to safely be cleaning, so please have a rest.0 -

Biscuits nope wrecked a cup of tea

This afternoons Matinee in the fort cinema will be Pretty Woman! Plenty of popcorn, sweeties and ice cream on offer, or for you healthy/fasting people there'll be Humous and carrot sticks.0
