Can you remind us what the situation is, Oakdene?
Sorry if you've already said.
Been together 3 1/2 years, we both agreed that living together part time needed to change to living together full time if we were to focus on getting a bigger house etc.
I looked for & was offered a new role (quite a bit more money) & arranged a transfer for my daughter to change school. Spent New Years together with her family up North & was ready to start my new job this month.
I came home one evening & she said she couldn't do this & couldn't see a future & she didn't want us to continue...Dwy galon, un dyhead,

Have you heard from her at all since all this started Oakdene? (((hugs))), it's never easy when you're sailing happily along and the rug's pulled out from under you. I hope you're able to get some answers.
Ive heard from her in little bits, but shes basically says she cant see how things can change, even when I point out ways that they can she blanks them & refuses to talk about it.Dwy galon, un dyhead,

What did you do about your new job, Oakdene?:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

How's the situation with the new job, have you now turned it down?

Had no choice but to say I couldn't start as its 45 miles away from where I live now. Its only 10 miles from my now ex other half's which was why it was such a great opportunity.
Luckily my current employer was only to happy for me to continue here...Dwy galon, un dyhead,

That's something at least.
Am getting so hacked off today. Have trekked to another office to meet the guy I was complaining about a few months ago (50% split of a project and he hadn't started his half). He STILL hasn't done anything, so why bother even agreeing to a meeting?! He's spent 90% of the time since I got here on the phone. Am really struggling to bite my tongue.0 -
Ugh! That's so annoying, tea! He sounds utterly useless!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Very, very annoying, I am having to sit on my hands because apparently workplace violence is not the answer. :mad:0

I find Tom and Jerry cartoons useful at times like this. Try replacing Tom being beaten up by Jerry with the annoying guys face.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Just need to make sure that Very Smug Person is not looking:
I think I am going to miss the deadline for my tax return. Only by a few days but then it is going to be a nightmare to sort out the knock on effects with tax credits etc. Pain in the 'arris.
Had to penguin it because it is scaring me.
Is the VSP me? Soo sorry if it was. Can you REALLY not do it in time? Cos obviously it will save you £100 fine on top of any other stresses if you can.... Worth working through the night, I would think, to get this done. Or bribing a friend to take littlewing off for the day/evening so you have an unbroken run at it.
If it helps, I have a friend who used to be an HMI (tax inspector) who says they don't really look at anything under £5000. (I do understand that this is very relevant for my small return, but you might earn half a million for all I know!)
By the way, TOP TIP and please remind me at the end of March. Last year I scanned my work p60 into the computer. And then forgot all about it. I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO delighted to see it sitting there, in my email tax file, when I came to doing this year's - finding a copy of my p60 usually takes about half the time!Ex board guide.
