There's no finer start to the day than trying to cram yourself into jeans that don't fit (as you've put on 16lbs in a yr), trying to pull them up by the belt loops and then wrenching said belt loop right off as there's no way on earth anything is fitting over those thighs.

Can you apply for housing benefit either way, melly?
Two ways of looking at it.
1) You currently have health issues which you've needed a break for, for a while - you're not well. so a spell on sickness benefit isn't taking the p1ss. You've kept going for longer than a lot of people would.
2) you're doing more than enough to keep the job centre happy (going on my experience, which admittedly was 18 months ago.) And with your qualifications you should be able to get a job seekers agreement which gives you at least 3 months grace to keep looking for similar jobs at a similar salary.
So which will be the least stressful for you? I know nothing about ESA and the hoops you have to jump through. But I do think you deserve a break, so don't feel guilty if you do go down the sickness route. Just do it quickly, so you can claim anything you are entitled to - you've paid into the system for long enough, time to get something back. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Thanks all
Waiting to see seen.

I don't know anything about ESA either, but good luck at the docs

Oh dear! This may have happened to me at some point in the past too
How about some Team WaS support? That we actually stick to? Maybe a weekly weigh-in, share recipes and exercise tips? We could do 'Weigh-in Wednesday' each week? I need some butt-kicking since I realised that in order to get to my 'ideal' weight I need to lose 20lbs, which is going to be tough considering that I seem to keep gaining and losing the same 3lbs and can't shift any more!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
I would really like that. I definitely need some accountability! Am so annoyed with myself as did so well in 2014 and was really happy with my weight at the end of that year. Then kept telling myself it was just a minor blip as all the weight came back - but as it's been over a year now I'm not sure that excuse works anymore.
Melly - would that be ok with you? I wouldn't want us to do anything that made you (or anyone else who may be at the other end of the disordered eating scale) feel bad? If that makes any sense - have totally and utterly fallen off the codeine wagon recently so expect even more gibberish than usual!0 -
It did make sense tea thank you
To be honest I don't know so let's see.
She weighed me after checking I'm comfortable with it (I'm not really) it's bad0 -

Tea, please, cut yourself some slack. You had a horrible 2015, ending your long-term relationship, all the worry of the mortgage sign-over, then being on your own for the first time in years, and now all the stalking stuff.
2016 is a new year for a new Tea! :T(I just lurve spiders!)
