YAY for being able to eat again WaS. Do you have any tips for eating while on anti biotics? Or does anyone else?
As I don't have the mobility to use a topical antibiotic cream atm, I've been given a 2 month supply of tablets. I cannot swallow tablets at all, checked if I can crush (not ideal but meh). So today I took them, waited the required hour before having any food and was throwing up before I finished my toast. I'm hoping that waiting longer will solve it? I'm very loathe to give up without doing as much as poss to be able to take them. I have acne from my face to my knees. And i hate it with a passion! It's the only thing I'm self-conscious about and I got used to the creams helping:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0 -
That used to happen to me, too with the antibiotics I take for my acne, dragonette. It did get better with time but what I found helpful was to have something dry an hour before taking them such as toast. Also, waiting for a couple of hours afterwards can help. As long as there is a little something in my tummy an hour beforehand it tends to stop the nausea.
So sorry that you have acne too, it's a nightmare isn't it? I went through my teenage years with hardly a spot whereas everyone else in my peer group was covered in them. Then I got to 26 and have been covered in acne rosacea ever since. I use a cream as well as antibiotics and I still get spots and bright red patches, right now I look like a monster from Doctor Who!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Grazie, onomatopoeia! Sono appena ritornata da una visita a Leuca, per vedere la confluenzione dei mari Adriatico e Ionico! Dopo di averli visto, abbiamo mangiato una buona cena di frutti di mare!
(Just saying that I'd just got back from visiting Leuca, to see the confluence of the Adriatic and Ionian seas, after which we had a nice seafood dinner!)
Nice use of the subjunctive, by the way, onomatopoeia!(I just lurve spiders!)

Hi everyone
Looks like we've all had an interesting weekend - Welly I am soooo excited for you!
Loves to all who need them. Came downstairs yesterday morning and my boiler was chucking water everywhere so that wasn't fun! Emergency engineer got it isolated and it should be fixed today though

Good luck Welly, hope Even Littler Sod moves back into position and you have an easy (or as easy as it gets!) birth!
Hello Kitty! I am high functioning autistic too and reading your posts made me wonder if I'd actually written them and forgotten as it sounded so familiar! I have a lot of issues with noise and people in my space and I haaaaaaate small talk; I feel really proud of myself whenever I manage a little conversation at the till etc!I get a little obsessive about little things too, I can't just 'like' something, I have to get totally into it!

Congrats moo. As soon as you have your NVQ, I think you can progress to grad status, but do it asap, as I think you have to be grad for 2 yrs before they will consider CIMOSH. I don't mind the ruling as I suppose it weeds out those without the right experience, but I think they should have a way of processing people who have worked in the industry for years and clearly have the knowledge and experience, but have not been registered. The absolute best dude I knew was not even an iosh member as his company were tight and would not pay for it and he had such a low salary he could not afford it either, but he was the most knowledgable advisor and had such a way of getting people to do things. He loved his work and didn;t want to change jobs, but he would have liked the opportunity to participate and I think the community were at a big loss not having him vocalise his ways of working as they were amazingly effective. Red tape eh?0

Has anyone tried or used Hedgehog gutter guards? Am thinking of purchasing for our gutters as we are under trees and get a lot of debris in the gutters - just wondered if anyone had any experience with them? They look pretty effective from the reviews I have read and the logic of them certainly makes sense to me.0
