Kitty, are the employers aware of your autism? If not, you may want to remove company names from your posts.
I don't know if it is the done thing to ask, but is your autism actually Aspergers or a different type? (I got a bit muddled as I thought Aspergers wasn't used any more but it does still seem to be in some recent research I was looking at).:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
My old employer knew, and it was never an issue...I have yet to discuss it with M&S. Do you think it will cause problems? I am quite an achiever at work...it has never affected my job. I have removed my location from my posts though, thanks for telling me
Oh and high functioning autism...I can function pretty well but under personal stress I struggle. It is interesting, I am good in formal situations...but informal (parties, social events, meeting new people outside of work etc) I fall apart!!I also have certain obsessions with things, certain OCD traits and love a lot of childish things!! But that is me

Greetings from hot and sticky Italy!
The hotel wifi is very slow and erratic, and posting stuff is very hit and miss, so don't worry if I don't post much.
Welcome, Kitty of the triple seven variety!
I'm falling asleep, the journey was a very long one and now I can't keep my eyes open!(I just lurve spiders!)

I am interested in how people disclose to employers etc. I have been advised against it: why make life difficult for yourself? is the comment I normally get.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Talking of holidays, I'm busy doing research for new things to do and new places to visit. Even though we've been 5 times before, there's always something new popping up there!0 -
