I would always take Gitdog! I am positive that he would make sure that I couldn't drift off.
I decided to do something practical so repotted the last cactus. There are five babies now! WaSp suggested we flush them down the toilet, he got suitably glared at as he knew he would. Hands off my little ones!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Do they have Kima Passionfruit soda in Madeira? I know they have it in the Azores and it's delicious.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Hello everyone -waves-
I have been on this site for a long time, and just seen this thread and decided to say hello..maybe you can help
I am an autistic girl from the uk (I feel this appropriate to share) who has been through a lot of trauma in my life, but I have managed to get by through the help of my childhood pet Daisy...however earlier this year Daisy passed away and things have kind of gone very badly down hill from there...
I have also moved out, and living independently with my boyfriend of 5 years. I felt this was best, as my Mother is mentally ill and very negative towards myself..it wasn't the best situation for me. But the moving out and away (along with the loss of Daisy) has created a sort of...dark cloud over me...I just cannot shift it...
So hello, I hope to make some new friends0 -
Hello Kitty! (Ha ha, Messedup, on this thread, is devoted to Hello Kitty stuff so I'm sure will be along soon
)
So sorry to hear of your loss. Pets can be the most tremendous support, and it seems to unfair that they don't live as long as we doWe have a lovely virtual fort here where you can retreat from the world, get lots of support from other people on the thread, and feel comforted. Let us know if anything helps, and very very warm welcomes to the thread xxx

Perfect again, whitewing! Thank you! If you remember you chose the outfit for Milliefleur for me last year which she loved! You are better at choosing gifts for her than I am!
Hello Kitty! Welcome, it is lovely to meet you! I do understand about pets, I had a very special cat that I had from four weeks old and when she passed after fourteen years I was grief stricken and it affected my mental health very badly for a while. They are such a comfort and support, it is so hard when they are not there anymore.
It is totally understandable that moving away from your mother would cause you to feel low. Often, it isn't until we are out of negative situations that we can allow ourselves to feel how awful it really was, whilst in them we tend to keep a shield up so that we can get through another day. Now it may be safe for you to feel how horrid your experiences were, and that understandably hurts. I am so sorry that you had to live with so much negativity, my mother was very mentally ill, too.
Please feel free to post as much as you wish, you are among friends here and welcome to dive into our virtual blanket fort for calorie free chocolate and fluffy blankets anytime.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Hello all
Thank you for all of your kind words, is is comforting to see that others understand just how important pets are! I found Daisy even more important due to my autism...she was my way to the 'real world' and really helped me connect. She was a super cat!!
I hope you are all well! I am off to London tomorrow with my boyfriend for a day trip. I hope the sun comes outI don't think the dark mornings are helping much now...
I have also just got a new job at M&S and start on the 5th october...I am soo nervous!! Please send me warm wishes and courage haha!!
Kitty.

Lol, WaS, it is the only chance I get to gaze at size 8 clothes.
Kitty, many years ago I had a temping job at M and S for Christmas. They were great. Excellent, thorough training. Even got a Christmas bonus (don't know if they still do it). It will be tiring but you will enjoy it.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. @whitewing I have been working at another retailer for many years. However when I moved to my new house I could only transfer to a store 20miles from me...and it has been costing me £200 a month in trains to get to work!! This M&S store is a 10minute drive from me, so I will be saving a bit even though I am on a very slight less wage.
I doubt I will get a christmas bonus, as I am starting so close to christmas..but it would be nice!
Anyway...many things are currently worrying me about this job...things that shouldn't worry me at all!!! I struggle hugely with anxiety, but I wish it would just go away!!0
