It's a year ago today that I lost my best friend ever, my hero, my Dad. I can't believe that this year has gone so fast.
The last few days have been hard, I've been reliving this time last year, and the feelings that I let him down have been really strong, and I've been having trouble sleeping.
I just hope he's at peace and I hope that he's happy. I miss you so much Dad.0 -
(((Georgie))) thinking of you xx0

Thinking of you today Georgie. You didn't let him down at all, he'd be devastated if he knew you felt that way. Please be kind to yourself and concentrate on the times that he was so proud of you he could just burst. ((Hugs))
Random thought but WaS- you know how you say you can't be trusted to make tea because you forget about the kettle/spill etc, I was just talking to someone about their coffee pod machine and it makes tea as well as coffee and hot chocolate! You just have a to press one button and voila, a cuppa! Apologies if you know about them, I just thought it was a pretty nifty way of giving you a little independence.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
((Georgie)). You did not let him down at all. That's just the grief talking. Birdie's suggestion that you think about the happy times is a good one. I'm so sorry you lost your dad and am so sorry you're in pain. Hugs.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

Not a clue! Happy just to see how it goes for now - could be the start of something amazing, could be one lovely evening...who knows?
There was kissing:D, and there's been text flirting all morning. I am quite giddy!
Great way to take my mind off the passive aggressive response from FOHs mum when I said I wouldn't see him.0 -
Love to you Georgie.
EDIT: Aw tea am so glad it went well!

Hi all!
Hugs to all that need them.
WaS, sounds like you had a blast back in the day! My uncle played pool with Lemmy quite often, they grew up in the same area and went to the same pubs, and he was always so nice to everyone.
I've finally moved house, its been chaos with the floods oop Norf but we avoided both the flood water and ensuing power cuts, my old house wasn't so lucky! Currently have part of a bathroom fitted, no sink, and a house of chaos with half unpacked boxes everywhere, half decorated rooms, and I've lost my glasses somewhere along the line (they're in here somewhere).
Going to do a bit of catching up, hope you all have a great afternoon.0 -
Speaking of lemmy (stopped the autocarrot this time)
I met him when he played with hawkwind he was a gentleman who took care of me when I was a bit messy0 -
Just popping out of lurkdom to say I'm gutted about Lemmy too, melly, hugs. WaS, what a story! Motorhead was the first gig I ever went to, aged 14. The guy was a legend and I'll be raising a glass to him later tonight.
Perhaps you might like to treat your neighbours to a "tribute"?0
