Thank you elsien, that sounds a lot more diplomatic than my drafts!

I can see where she's coming from, of course I can. He doesn't speak to people easily (well, he'll chat away to anyone for hours but not about anything important) and I know him, I really know him. But I can't deal with this. Everything seems to be focused on what he wants, and how he feels, and what will help him and I want him to feel better, I really do. But they don't seem to appreciate that this whole thing started because her son broke my heart, a piece at a time over ten years until there's just nothing left to give him.
  • We found a pharmacist 10 miles away!!!! that had *some* medication. WaSp will have to go back and pick some more up next week but they had enough to get me through. They have had so many prescriptions that are rationing how much they are giving out. This is so ridiculous but at least I will be ok for now. I now have phone PTSD (PTPD?)

Welcome, Torry! So sorry that you feel so exhausted, I have several autoimmune disorders and I get very tried, very quickly. I hope that you can get some rest over the coming days even if it's just relaxing on the sofa.

    Thinking of you, code!

Tea, I agree with elsien. Gently tell FOH's mum that you think it's better for everyone if you keep a distance, and that you don't want to give anyone false hope.

Good luck for the root canal, JM! That isn't christmassy!

I'm so jealous, HBS! That sounded wonderful!

Sorry about the charm, Georgie. How frustrating!

Hope your day gets better, whitewing. I am sure Littlewing's excitement will help with that!

Yay for some time off, Birdie!

We have a shopping delivery soon, please cross fingers and eyes that it all arrives. WaSp may cry if he has to face the shops again!

Well that's my plans out the window. My elderly relative has an emergency hospital appointment tomorrow so need to go with them as they are anxious at the best of times. It means I will need to be out early, well for me, on a day when I just want to hibernate.

  • Aw, I'm sorry Torry. It's very sweet of you to travel with your relative but the last thing you need. I hope that everything goes well at the hospital and you get home early for some rest.

  • Back again, in one piece too! Nightmare trying to even get a parking spot!

So apparently even though I've asked for a refund off the first charm place, they've now sourced one and decided to send it out anyhow. Which would have been ok if I hadn't already purchased something from somewhere else

Luckily I didn't pay for the express delivery, I got it free, but that's not the point, the express delivery should have had it turn up today and it didn't. So I ordered a spacer charm from another place and like I say, asked for a refund off the first company. Now I'm going to end up with 2 different charms. The first company can pay for returns because I'm not!

Good advice off elsien there tea. As much as I feel sorry for FOH Mum, it really isn't your problem anymore.

Hope the interview went well code :)

Glad you managed to get your medication sorted WaS, and hope your home delivery goes smoothly!

Thanks, there is no way I could leave them to go on their own but the thought of two buses and hanging around a hospital is the last thing I need. Couldn't relax anyway.

Glad you managed to get the needed medicine.

Elsien - thank you for the sound comments.

Tea - think elsien put it really well.

WaS - I've cleared out a shelf in the squish cupboard for WaSP - bless his little cottons.

Torry - Bug {squish} for you

    tea,

Don't meet them. It will just be more painful. Poor lady though, I do feel for her but you are not the solution to his pain. I am glad that he is on antidepressants now. They will help if he sticks to them (although the only effect you should notice is that he doesn't bother you).

Could either your mum or dad speak to his mum for you, just on this one occasion? I assume they know each other well enough for polite chat if you were together for so long. They could just tell her what elsien suggested.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.
  • That movie is next on my list tea! I've never watched it, and I just love pepe! :D

Have just watched The Grinch again! Twice in as many days!

My uncle is really obsessed with this Cinderella theme for the New Years Dip! He put a Cinderalla Read Me A Story book through my Mam's letterbox! My Mam was wracking her brains as to why someone would put that through her letterbox, I don't know how she didn't realise when he talks about it all the time! As soon as I saw it I was like 'Uncle B!' He cracks me up, he's funny when he gets an idea in his head!
