I'm such a lightweight these days , most of my colleagues went to the pub after our Christmas lunch (which finished at about 5pm when the restaurant kicked us out as they wanted to get ready for the evening bookings), I went and got the bus home as I was completely exhausted. I was a bit wobbly from wine, but not massively so, I just got to the "Need to stop now and get home for some quiet" point.

Nice meal though, and a really good cup of tea at the end using tea from a local company, so I'm probably going to order some from their website.

I've just had to go next door to complain about the music/cranked up bass again. Third time this week - including one afternoon where it was so loud that I couldn't talk on the phone when I was working from home, and 2am this morning. And the house on the far side of me also complained it was making their house shake. So far they've been apologetic and turned it down - young, thoughtless and generally p1ssed - but it does worry me that the more often I go round the less notice they will take.:(

Sorry to hear you're suffering with noisy neighbours too elsien. I can't believe people can be so inconsiderate time and time again.

Tonight took a turn for the scary. Got halfway to the town where the meal was and realised FOH was behind me. Very much could have been coincidence, it's a busy road we both use a lot. But something didn't feel right so I pulled into the car park of a supermarket and he followed me in. I parked by the entrance for a few mins (he could have been going shopping I suppose) then drove of and he followed me straight out. I carried on for five mins thinking he'd get bored. Didn't want to go straight to the car park I was aiming for as didn't fancy being trapped in a multistorey with him. Pulled into a side street and stopped - did think that maybe he'd have made his point, realised I was onto him and given up. But no, he parked right behind me, got out and came and stood right next to the car.

I thought about calling the police but what could they actually do, he wasn't really doing anything. Plus that would mean I was stuck there till they turned up and that was likely to take ages tonight. Phoned my sister for moral support and so someone knew where I was, and filled her in on all the texts. He was still stood there so I opened the window a tiny bit and asked what he was doing. He said he just wanted to talk to me! I pointed out that I clearly didn't want to speak to him and it was obviously not a good time. Said he had ten seconds to leave before I called the police. He kept going on about how this wasn't like us (!!!!!!?!) and begging me to talk to him.

I drove off while he was stood there but annoyingly I got stuck behind a reversing car so he caught me up. I then drove around the ring road twice then for some reason he finally got bored and drove off and I went and parked. Have just got home and thank god p cat is here and fine. Bawled my eyes out all the way home, think it all hit me.

Also had a text when I was out saying he was so sorry, he didn't know what he was doing, he loves me, he misses me, he's destroyed his world....same old.

So tomorrow's plan is work out how to change locks!!

OK, just to clarify, you don't have to change locks. You DO have to change barrels. I think this should be inside your ability, and believe I have done it in the distant past.

(With any luck the locksmith's shop will know what you are talking about, and be able to advise you further.)

It might also be worth you buying a chain for the door, if you don't have one already, for added security. Yes, the above sounds scary (although you were probably in no real danger.)

He's getting creepy now tea :eek: Codes idea about phoning 101 is a good one, then at least you are abit more clued upon things you can do. Big hugs x x

I don't know how much locks cost to change, but if it works out quite pricey, a lot of house insurances cover it now (just say you've lost your keys), so just something to think about if needs be.

Eta: What has made him step it up a gear in the last week or so? Is it since you joined POF do you think?
