  • Thanks for all your lovely words :)

Even though I don't have mental health issues, I was drawn to this thread purely because it is a safe, calm place to talk, to get advice etc, and also because it has a lovely family atmosphere, one big team....Go Team WaS!! :j

You guys are all so lovely, and I really enjoy all the crack (gossip, incase you thought I meant something different!)

So glad to hear you're feeling abit better now Katy :) Totally understandable why you felt like you did.
  • Have another gentle hug, Welly. Well done for making it to the midwife and I am glad that you feel a little better.

I received my KFC vouchers for the fact that they forgot Milliefleur's dessert! We have vouchers for both whole meals that WaSp and Milliefleur had between them even though only the desserts were missing so we shall save it until her birthday and WaSp can have all of the chicken and Milliefleur can have both desserts. I am wondering if they freeze now because she eats like a sparrow and I am not sure that she can manage two at once, they are only ice cream, caramel sauce and shortcake. I will be a piggy and eat both the fries because I love potato in any form!

Georgie -You've always been really supportive. I look at this thread as somewhere where people can discuss and learn about mental health but also somewhere you can receive unconditional support with all things emotional even if you don't have a label.

Thats what I love about this thread. Exactly like you say, it's a great place to receive unconditional support.
  • I'm sure they'll freeze fine WaS! I'm not a big fan of desserts, but that one does sound yummy! Milliefleur will be so pleased :)

I love potato in all it's forms too WaS! I could eat so many roasties!

  • I love roast dinners, they are one of my favourite foods with a heap of roast potatoes!

Thank you for the reassurance on freezing the desserts, Georgie! Milliefleur won't touch takeaway's other than these desserts which she adores. She rarely has one because she has no one with her to eat the main meal that they come with so if I can manage to get there for her birthday with WaSp it will work out perfectly.

I have to start thinking of what to buy her for her birthday at the beginning of November. She is difficult to buy for because she doesn't like the things typical of people her age. In fact if someone buys her things targeted towards her age group she gets quite sad and says "I am so old now...". Last year I got her a complete outfit (with jeans!) and she loved it. Her mobility is very limited plus she is almost blind and her hearing is bad so it's tricky. Any suggestions welcomed!

georgie, don;t worry about posts that aren;t MH related, they don;t have to be! That's the joy of this thread, we can talk about anything and everything and everyone is welcome :)

Calley-hope you're feeling a bit better, get some rest and make sure you look after yourself

WaS- Yay for keeping food down! just have beena relief and nice to have a meal without feeling ill after, hopefully over the next few weeks it will stay settled and you can get back to eating more meals

Welly, you've had some great advice on here. i don;t have kids but some of your worries are the same things i could see myself worrying about if i wwas expecting, but as others have said the medical professionas are there to help, and not just look after baby but look after you too, so make sure you confide in dr or midwife if things are worrying you as hopefully they can out your mind at ease a bit.

Hugs and squishes for everyone, whether you need them or not :p i just love giving them!

I'm off today and had such a good sleep :) think i'm caught up. Swain's mum said she tried to wake me up but i was out of it :o (note to self in future do not attempt to stay awake all night).

May have done a bit of shopping. I needed some new pjs to have at Swain's....well i bought myself some and ended up buying him two pairs! Told him he can one pair tomorrow and i'm saving the others till xmas.

Oh lol something funny happened. I'd been on ebay in the early hours and saw a massive bear that i thought Swain would like for xmas, so i bidded on it. Roll on yesterday and Swain was telling me how he was gutted as he's been bidding on a bear for my birthday and at the last minute had been outbid.....turns out it was ME who outbid him :rotfl: This is the second time its happened! :p I suppose at the very least it shows we have very similar tastes!

I also bought glittter for my birthday and a new pair of shoes, that wwere reduced to £12 :D Oh and i upgraded my e-cig battery.

So i've have a kind of productive day :p
