Me too. Productive morning. Somewhat less productive afternoon when I was trying to hold a telephone conference to the joyful sounds of Gitdog complaining he was bored - luckily they found it amusing.
The good new is I'm now on holiday. :j The bad news is I'm so behind with my recording I'm going to have to spend time over the weekend getting up to date. It can't wait till I get back as if I don't get it out of my head and onto paper I'll spend the week worrying about work.
Cally, the dating columnist in the paper I read reckons there's more numpties than not out there, and seems to have experienced very similar hot/cold type contact. Just remind yourself, it's not you it's them. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
calley - I'm coming to the realisation that they are all numpties and that the house to yourself and a cat to share it with is sheer perfection
Although I agree there's a lot to be said for a house to yourself, with or without a cat.

That's interesting.....it was on the other day...I watched it!
It.'s fine to watch, WaS, but I ended up blubbing because it has a happy ending!
Well, I did the Very Scary Paperwork. I still have to deliver it but can't now until Monday. It did upset me, as I thought it would.
There's the other Very Scary Thing to do next. Not looking forward to it.(I just lurve spiders!)

Chester is so cute WaS
Hugs to Pyxis, those having work problems and anyone else who needs one.
Spent two hours in A&E this morning with my Mam. Her foot has been getting exceedingly painful and swollen over the last month or so (I told her to get it seen to ages ago), and she was finding it really hard to walk on. It's also the same foot she broke years ago.
Luckily it wasn't broken, they just put a support bandage on. They did say that the bones looked really thin in her foot and ankle and to get it checked out further. My Nana had osteoporosis, so there's a high chance my Mam has it too.0 -
I'm watching Planet of the Apes. Do you know, I've never watched it from start to finish! Only seen the end before!
It was incredibly ahead of its time. Including the extremely avant-garde soundtrack.

Calley - dating websites are a minefield. There is probably as many not nice people using them as there are genuine people, especially on the free sites, so I don't think it is a good thing to use a barometer as to your awesomeness or otherwise. You have no idea if the person on the other end is genuine and the idiots who seem to be interested and then just disappear without so much as a ta-ta are clearly not the ones for you and were not genuine in the first place. You deserve so much more honey bun!
I have a good friend who is very happily married to her hubby who she met online, however I do remember her saying that things were very different on paid for sites rather than the free ones - so that might be an option worth considering? Less numpties on sites you have to pay for was the general feeling.
Please don't measure yourself against these people who can't even show basic politeness skills - you are in totally different league to them!

moo, faerie - hopes you is ok today0 -
Hmmm.........meeting with tutor went...........ok. He was as surprised as me to see the awful mark after I apparently came top of the class previously. I could see he agreed with my arguments about the marking but had to "save face" for the university about the issues in the marking.......he has said he will have a word with the marking tutor, but it is unlikely the awful mark will be changed. So......annoyed that my hard work is wasted due to poor marking/tutor and there is a possibility my overall degree grading could be affected by this one poor mark............but I am pleased that I was right in my understanding of the assignment so I have understood the material correctly. Ho hum. Absolutely nothing I can do about it so I really need to just let it go.0

Oops. 4am, erm morning! I am clearly in a sleepy phase, I had a nap at 6pm and just woke up. I need to stay awake now or I will miss the Doctor Who finale tonight! Again I notice how the more sleep I have the better my mental health gets, I feel extremely well today. The only problem is that enough sleep seems to equal several days of at least 16 hours before it makes a difference! There is a definite correlation between the amount of sleep I have and the psychosis I experience though. Lots of stabilising chemicals such as serotonin are created while we sleep which is probably the reason behind it, it likely just takes my brain longer than other people's to balance itself. The downside of this means I hardly function because I can't plan anything and am only able to stay awake for a few hours at a time, the up side is I am feeling great when I manage to keep my eyes open. There is never a perfect solution...
It's A Wonderful Life was sweet, Clarence got his wings! James Stewart is still one of my favourite actors and Harvey is still one of my favourite films of all time, I relate to it! Today I am aiming for Miracle on 34th Street, I shall now grab a coffee and read back.
Ok, got coffee. Well done on The Very Scary Thing, Pyxis! Now spend the weekend doing nice things, you can't hand it in until Monday and the Other Really Scary Thing can be dealt with next week. Give yourself a couple of days off.
Whitewing, I need a couple of small gifts for Milliefleur, please! I have made her a hamper with all of her favourite toiletries and perfume with a box of chocolates, I just need a couple of little things to bulk it out. This is Milliefleur so something lovely but not age appropriate or she will tell me off for calling her old!
Did you get your cleaning done, tea? It's amusing that since WaSp has been unable to do much housework I have turned into the tidiest person in the world. Since it will only be me dealing with it I am making sure it never builds up. I was far less willing when WaSp was doing it!
Well done on the training, Birdie. You're brilliant!
How are you today, MU? Remember how special you are, to your employees, Swain and us!
Aw, have a hug Calley, it's so lovely to see you post. There are a lot of Numpties of both sexes on dating sites but there are genuine people too. You are worth so much more than waiting around for someone, everyone here knows how lovely you are.
Crossing everything for your mum, Georgie. I am sure that your having your support makes things easier for her.
Hahahaha! Did Gitdog have something relevant to contribute, Elsien?
Yay for sleep, Ono! It's surprising how much a few good hours can help.
Aw, Flybaby, it sounds as if the grade was definitely not your fault. The same thing happened to my american friend and her professor also spoke to the marker, it was a ridiculously unfair mark and not what she deserved at all. At least you know that you did nothing wrong, it's frustrating though.
How are you feeling today, Melly? Say hi to Alan for me!
How are you doing Faerie? Thinking of you and sending gentle hugs.
Hope you are doing ok too, code!
JM? Busy as usual? We miss you!
Anddd, hello to all of our humming birds and anyone I may have forgotten! I did try to remember everyone!
I may have bought a small Christmas bell decoration because when a bell jingles an angel gets their wings! I am going to hang it on the door and ring it everytime I walk past. WaSp has his head in his hands and is alternatively mumbling "Unbelievable" and "Sadddddddd!". Can't think why!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
