Hahahaha! Yes! The little bone with the eye on the end next to him is his eye bone! The story is that whoever finds his eye bone then owns him and he will be loyal to them. It's...different. I have WaSp grumbling that he is yet another cuddly toy, I am pointing out that he is a chest so he is useful! You open his mouth and put things inside him, there is quite a lot of room.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

What does the eye bone do? Is it like a lock?
Or do you have to keep it in the chest?

Hahahaha! He is a from a computer game called Don't Starve that my friend and I play together. In the game you search for his eye bone, once you find it he appears and follows you around and you can use him to put things in within the game. As long as you keep his eye bone he will follow you constantly throughout the game. He was so popular that they made a real life version of him. I currently have his eye bone inside him along with all my e-cigs and oils, he is quite solid and you can store anything in him really.
This is what he looks like in the game. The real life version is very accurate!

Aww Chester is very cute in an odd way! Love that you've put him straight to work holding stuff!
Great news about your American Friend's paper too, how brave of her to work through the triggers and write what must have been a fantastic paper!
I'm another one feeling really down ATM. I had a review at work yesterday (have to have one every 6 months and I hate it!) and my manager, who has worked with me for nearly 5 years now and is aware of my patterns, noted that I'm currently in a dip so it looks like I need to pick myself up and shake off the funk I'm in since it's now noticeable at work!I just don't feel like doing anything, I have plenty to be getting on with but I'd rather just hide in the fort and play games.
It's actually a battle to drag myself into work every day and not just sack it off and go to the doctor to get signed off for the foreseeable.

I could have written that Birdie (well, not the 5 yr part but definitely the utter lack of motivation). I've got loads to do, but I just totally can't be bothered. I should have had my 6 month review this week but as ever my boss didn't bother. It's definitely nothing personal, (I'm told this a lot lol), but it's hard to be interested when you know that everything you do won't even be looked at for months anyway. I'm not even on the priority list, let alone anywhere near the top of it.
Also - I am irrationally annoyed at my sister over a v small thing but it's putting me in a bad mood :(.
In better news, I'm meeting my brownie mentor tomorrow to start the official leadership training.0 -
So sorry you are feeling down, birdie. It sounds as if your manager is supportive at least. Don't push yourself too much. if it is too hard to keep working then a week to breathe could be helpful. It sounds as if your workplace would understand.
Ugh tea, disinterested managers are the worse. How can they expect their employees to have the motivation to want to do anything if they can't be bothered? Sorry to hear about the situation with your sister too, little things like that can niggle at you.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Birdie,
Maybe your manager is getting to understand mh better and is becoming more observant and catching the signs earlier.
I am tired - good tired, and I feel quite calm today. I have a lot to do but it seems manageable. I am pleased because usually if I am tired, the suicidal thoughts start but - touch wood - I haven't had any for a few weeks now.
DH put the xmas tree up and new fairy lights all around the living room yesterday as a surprise for littlewing. When she walked in to the house, she declared it her best day ever! She was so excited for me to see it that she told me that when I walked in, I was going to faint!
It is lovely and DH and I had a (somewhat rare) cuddle on the sofa to the glow of Christmas shimmers last night.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Awww, WW that's brought a tear to my eye!0

Aw, how lovely, whitewing! I should put up our decorations this weekend, I have just watched The Muppet Christmas Carol for the first time and it has made me feel all festive. What a wonderful film!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I love that film so much! Will definitely try and find time to watch it this weekend
I'm toying with the idea of the tree again this year. I've never done a lot of decoration as they just annoy me and look messy lol (love other people's, can't be doing with them in my home) I do have a tree but haven't put it up the last two years as I don't trust P cat one little bit :rotfl:. Am torn between wanting the living room to look festive and having to stop him eating the lights.0
