Ouch, hbs.
Everybody, take care.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Melly, you need to see a doctor, and as soon as if possible. You can't struggle on like this anymore. You are pushing yourself too far, you are going to make yourself seriously ill. You are only human, you can only do so much. Go see someone, go and talk to someone now. Big hugs to you Hun x x0

Another vote for please talk to someone melly. Your GP would be a great start, or maybe call Samaritans. Or a walk in centre if there's something nearby. But please access some help - it's out there, it really is, you just need to take this first brave step of connecting with it. Which you can definitely do as a) you're v brave and awesome and b) we're all rooting for you (and we're all awesome too!)
Take care x.0 -

I need sleep0 -
Good girl
(said in an encouraging, not a patronising way lol!)
You do need sleep, you really do. Far more than you need to be at work, or be strong for everyone else. This once, put yourself first.0 -
Glad you were able to get in Melly. Teas right, you do need to out yourself first for a change.0

I am so pleased you got there so promptly, melly. Hope it goes well and they give you help that suits you.
I have just done my energy switch instead of letting inertia take over. From a slow start, I have had quite a productive day, but still have horrendous amounts of paperwork to sort through.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. {squishes} to melly and for all the wonderful supportive people here. Maybe it is the day for it as I too have cracked and ended up blubbering in tears today.
Unfortunately I am the go to PC person in my group, so no one to call for help. The laptop seemed to die an ugly death last night and I eventually walked away at 3.30am. When I came back to it this morning and removed the battery, I managed to get it started in safe mode and ran full virus software and malware bytes, after which I had to reinstall office and other programs. Took about 6 hours to fix, but it seems to be alive now with all traces of the snap.do virus gone (praying) and thankfully - no files damaged - so Uni stuff has swiftly been removed to external hard drive and three data sticks (just in case)!
Ono - can you tell me about teamviewer - I'd love something like that so I can get into the in -laws and parents computers when they phone up
Hugs to Faerie for a strong recovery and for melly too.0 -
Huge hugs, Melly. Let us know how are you are feeling, please?
That is wonderful, MU! As I said, your employees really value you! They wouldn't do this if you weren't a wonderful employee!
I wish I had been here last night, flybaby! Snap.do is a browser hijacker, basically a nasty marketing tool. Virus and malware and removal is one of my favourite things, I am weird and actually enjoy it. WaSp taught me how to do it manually (eg. editing the registry myself rather than using tools) and used to pass those jobs over to me because I liked it so much. I used to find incredibly satisfying to get hold of a barely working computer and clean it up, the more complex the more fun for me. I have never been defeated by a virus although I have spent 3 days working on removing one before and loved every minute. Told you I'm weird. Should it happen again there is a programme called Hijack This which can be very helpful to see what you have on your computer and where it is located. You can send the log to other people who know how to remove these things and they can help you. I would always be willing to do that for you, just never delete anything that the programme pulls up without checking with someone first. Take a deep breath today and don't make any decisions, you have just been through a lot of stress. Spoil yourself today. Goodness! What was it about today that's affected so many people?
I felt absolutely dreadful today, just about the worst ever. Barely functioning, missing deadlines, blubbing, total hopelessness.
Is it the barometric pressure, do you think?(I just lurve spiders!)
