Flybaby, snap.do is a virus. Has your laptop booted in safe mode yet?Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

I know less than nothing about technology so I will just send happy computer vibes and hope someone knowledgeable is along soon!
MU - that sounds good. It's amazing the difference a supportive manager can make.0 -
MU,
I am very impressed with how Greggs (and you) are handling your issues. Time to get the gym membership sorted.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
code - have just read your post about driving. If it helps - my sister passed on her 7th attempt
I stocked up on beta blockers before my test and fortunately passed first time (which is v much not a brag btw - I was more surprised than anyone). I'm not sure I could have screwed up the courage to do it again so I can completely understand where you're coming from.
Plus I had lessons for years (as in 5!) before I would even put in for my test. I basically bought my driving instructor's house for her. The only reason I finally consented to even try the test was that she was 7 months pg with twins and it was then or never0 -
Hope you can get your laptop sorted Flybaby! I'm not very good with things like that, I have accidentally infected ours twice now and just throw it at DH and beg him to fix it!
Actually,. something funny is going on with mine right now, for some reason every time I go to a new page (even just going forward a page on this thread etc) I get asked for 'Verification' in a grey box, and have to enter my user name and password. What's up with that?!
Glad you're home with your kitties Faerielight, you've been so strong!
MU, glad you've got work sorted out, your manager sounds great! I'm happy that you've got a plan that keeps everyone happy, well done for speaking up and not just letting it fester.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
MU, that sounds really positive about you work, your manager must want to keep you.
Flybaby I'm afraid I've never heard of that virus, my general approach to infections is to download malware bytes onto a USB stick on a machine which is not infected then boot into safe mode, plug in the usb stick and install and run it from there, then leave it to scan the whole hard disk and do its thing.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -
Glad you managed to get your hours sorted at work MU. They obviously see what a hard worker you are and so don't want to lose you.
Glad you're home with your kitties Faerie.Hopefully that is the worst over with now.
Computer problems? I have no idea! I just call on my very own little computer nerd (D) as he's a network engineer (or whatever his job title is now?!).0 -

I usually do a clean install of avg or avast and spybot s&d at the same time using that technique. But that's not much good if the laptop isn't booting into safe mode. Hopefully it is now. I am usually called upon to fix my friends and relatives dodgy computers. I removed 678 viruses from one once!
MU glad your manager has helped. I hope that's a weight off your shoulders.
I forgot my earphones today and am in the huff now. Also haven't slept much in the past week so I look like I belong in The Walking Dead. I wouldn't even need any makeup.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

Talking of the walking dead, D is obsessed with it! Watches it over and over again. Walking Dead merchandise is making up a few of his Christmas presents....as I can't think of anything else!
That's the only thing with being good with computers, you always get called upon when something goes wrong with one! D was always looking at my Dad's, he didn't mind that though. Has looked at our next door neighbours quite a few times, doesn't mind unless he's just settling down to watch something. But it really annoys him when the only time is brothers call is when they have a computer problem
I'm going for my flu jab today, and I don't know why, but I'm strangely nervous. I'm usually like this with blood tests, but injections don't usually bother me.0
